My wife and I went here because our return online was not making any sense. We needed "expert" advice on how to fix it or figure out why we where owing taxes instead of getting our usual $50-$300 back each year.

The service was friendly.

I would not say knowledgable. We dropped of our information, within a few days they call back and I ask for the verdict, are we owing the gov money and he said yes.

I asked why? He answer was that my company that I am working for is located in Qubeec and thats why I need to pay their taxes.
I told him: No, I should be paying taxes in the province I live and work in.
He told me no...

I asked about why my wife needed to pay extra and he couldn't give me an answer.

I end up talking with my work and they told me about a L1-R form and I tried it online and now showed me that I am getting money. Hurray! One problem solved and... WHY didn't he know that? and WHY did he argue against me with the rule of you are getting taxed in the province you work in? Clearly not knowing.

For my wife, it was worse. She was on EI earlier in the year and started to work. Her employer knew this. She was on the phone for 2-4h with EI and Canada Revenue and finally figured out that her employer didn't fill in a form for her. Neither EI or her employer told her about it.

They should have known this... I can't imagine my wife being the only one going from getting EI to start working again.

A complete waste of 2-3h dealing with them and paying a $315

Just going back to doing taxes online next year or finding someone else...

They said that I would get my tax return in time to pay my wives section... that didn't happen...

Excellent, friendly service and good tax advice on a number of occasions. They prepared taxes for me this year and the refund was bigger than expected. They also charged less than other firms have in the past.
