We recently partnered with Sunco Communications to install a new phone system at our hotel, Days Inn Calgary Northwest, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. I worked closely with Andrew on the sales side, and even though I'm not technically advanced in these areas, he took the time to thoroughly explain the system and guide me through understanding exactly what was required for the installation. Service is spotty with many outages explained as someone else's fault.
Speed is variable and not what was promised.
Video calls fail due to "internet connection".
A ticket issued responded to after a month and then asked "how did we do".
Asked us to perform testing tasks and report back to them on the results.
In my opinion and experience not a very reliable service and poor customer service.

**Update Sept 17th, 2024.
To fix our speed issues as recommended we upgraded to fiber optic service. The project was to be completed on the 13th of September which it has yet to be even though the Sunco ticket has been closed and billing commenced.
The equipment is pictured and one can clearly see it is not finished being installed and the photo of our current internet speed would coincide with the installation not being completed.

**Update Sept 17th, 2024.
Tom from Sunco attended our location and completed the installation as required and we are now receiving the service Mbps that was promised. System stability checks will be conducted on our end to ensure consistency of the network.
Thank you Tom for your prompt attendance and finally getting us what we were promised and paying for.

I first met the Sunco team during a technology upgrade they helped our company with almost 20 years ago. They have always treated me like a friend and have been straightforward in all business transactions. We've dealt with Sunco for over 3 years now and I think nearly everyone at the company has helped us at some point by now. As an insurance brokerage we are quite demanding when it comes to our phone system & technology needs and Sunco has exceeded our expectations at every turn. If all the other service providers we needed to deal with were as good as Sunco, I would have less grey hairs. Thank you!

Initially called in with regards to voicemail operation, they billed us an hours worth of service for a less than ten minute call. I disputed and they rescinded the charges.

Gave them the benefit of the doubt and reached out for their services again. As one of our phone lines went down. We were billed $540 for 3 hours work/travel time, $125 of which was billed just for the technician to show up (regular business hours). Note that none of these charges, or the at minimum one hour charge of service, was conveyed to us.

On both occasions the problem was resolved. However I would like to public state my dislike of the predatory pricing policies this company has. After once again disputing, they charged me for their actual billable hours instead of their "minimum".

Our office has been a customer for about ten years? And I notice that over time the company keeps addinging on automatic fees. I believe that this company is trying to squeeze every penny out of a customer who doesn't look at their invoice closely. Forshame

Please note both the technician and supervisor I talked to today have nothing to do with my poor experience with the company. Both handled themselves well and solved our problem. I think it's clear as to which part of the company my indignation is directed.
