Went in on a Friday to get my computer fan repaired as the fan never worked since I bought it (second hand). The gentlemen at the desk was nice to talk to, and said the diagnostic would take 2 hours. Got the diagnostic, and said it would cost $250 to repair, no problem. The guy also said that it would take 2-3 days to repair. So I waited. Monday rolls around, no call. No worries as I thought they might not work weekends, so I waited until Thursday or Friday, still no call or anything so I called them to see if my computer was done. They then asked me for my password as they said they needed it to see if the fan was working, a little skeptical but again no problem, gave them the 2 passwords that could be correct (I use the same 2 passwords for all my computers). They repeated the passwords to me and it was good. I then get a call the same day saying the passwords aren’t working, and that they needed the password to do the repair and see if it was working. At this point I was getting a little frustrated as they never asked me for my password when I gave them the laptop, and I had to call them to see what was going on for them to ask me to give them the password. I said that the passwords should be working, and I again repeated the passwords, and they repeated them back to me right, but the tech said the passwords weren’t working. So the next day I stop by to see what’s going on, and put in the password myself. The gentle men at the front desk is again, nice to talk to, but he said that the passwords weren’t working, so they sent it off to their main office in Calgary. He THEN said that they didn’t NEED the password to check if it was working. But they had still sent it off to the main office. The next day I get a call from the main office saying again that my password isn’t working, so the guy wanted to do a video call with me to make sure it was put in right. I got passed around to a few people in the office for this, and never got a video call (might be my phones fault), then the next guy I got put on the line with asked for my password again, I repeated the password AGAIN to the guy, he repeated it to me correct; and he called me back and said it worked. He then told me my computer would be repaired and good to pick up Monday. On Monday I called the place to see if I was good to pick it up (I called around 10 or 11 AM), the guy said no it wasn’t there yet. He said he’d give me a call when it was there. No call the rest of the day, Tuesday (today), I called around 2:30 to see if it was good to pick up, got put through to voicemail. Called again 10 mins later, got sent to voicemail. 40 minutes later they called me back and said it was good for pickup. What was supposed to be a 2-3 day repair took a week and a half, and me having to constantly call them. Gave them 2 stars because the people behind the counter were kind and nice to talk to, and the computer was repaired (I think, but haven’t tried it yet) for the cost I was told. But very frustrating having to call to see what’s going on, and THEN they ask for the password instead of them calling me and letting me know they need it, especially after they said it would take 2-3 days and it had been almost a week when I called them. They should be calling the customer to ask for the password as soon as they need it, or ask for it when a device is dropped off. Or if a problem comes up (late delivery for a part, or another issue) and it’s going to take longer, at least call the customer and let them know what’s going on and why so the customer isn’t in the dark. And someone else I know took their phone in to get their screen fixed, they said it was fixed and it wasn’t. He had to take it back 4 or 5 times for them to actually fix it. Friendly, nice people, but I would recommend taking your phone/laptop service needs somewhere else. The city if you have to.

I was in the new Sellphone Lab store in Olds today. I had a wonderful experience dealing with Bony and Rahul. Both were very helpful in helping me deal with everything. Plus, it was great not having to go into Red Deer to deal with my account. Got a new phone with a better plan. Thank you for all the help.

I was in a panic when my phone went completely dead on me today, as- between my personal and work life-, that thing is attached to me like an extra limb. I stopped in at SellPhone Lab in Olds and was met by Bony, a fantastic individual who quickly assessed my phone, was able to fix it right up within a couple hours, and made the payment affordable. Everyone in the building was friendly and helpful, and I so appreciated not having to rush into the city for overpriced help or the run around of having it fixed in 1-3 Business days. Thank you SO much to Bony and his team for being such great onsite help~!! I will definitely be recommending you in the future!!

My daughter had screen repairs done here. The gentleman repaired her phone and discovered that something was not compatible, he went above and beyond to make sure that the proper part was ordered and repaired in a reasonable amount of time! Very nice clean location, friendly service. We will be back!

I brought my badly damaged i-phone. The tech was able to do a repair and I was able to preform a data recovery and saved about 4 years of photos. They were fair and very quick to fix the phone.

The absolute worse service i have ever gotten with cell phone repair. They put a cheap screen on first that didn't work and cracked asap so I told them I wanted a Samsung screen and they said yes they can and only be $100 more (original bill was over $500 with a new back, screen and cheap case) get the Samsung screen on and they tried charging me another $500 for the Samsung screen and better phone case. Ended up settling for $250 with the phone case and was told the phone case would be there next week (was December 13 when I paid for it all) 2 weeks later I call they said it would be there after boxing day. Today I called they said they would call back with a update and they never did. Went in and they said Saturday I asked for a refund because I bought a new phone case the dumb ass made me call the manager so he could talk to his manager to autherise it. Terrible service no communication but they have no issue taking your money.
