We rely on Columbia for internet at our rural home in Winlaw, and have been impressed with the quality and consistency. They are always quick to respond to support inquiries and tackle any issues. We pay for highest tier, since we both work from home, and it's so worth it. Would love something that doesn't rely on line of sight in future but this definitely works for us now and recommend.

We have been with Columbia Wireless for almost 4 years. We stream a lot so we have their highest package, which is quite affordable. Their staff is courteous and knowledgeable, and their service is impeccable and timely. The signal is strong where we are (Summit Lake) and it rarely goes down even in snowy conditions. And when there is an odd interruption, they are quick to restore it and provide information. If you see that light on the mountain, I strongly recommend calling them for your internet service.

I'm sorry, but I can't award enough kudos to this internet service--ten stars, anyone? After an extreme weather event in my area, my internet connection went down. Again, Columbia Wireless came to my rescue. Even though they're currently short-staffed, understandably so, Ben went out of his way--literally--to assist me with my difficulty, and had me back up and running within minutes, for which I'm immensely grateful (and humbly apologetic). Seriously, customer service is a major, if not the best, feature of this service provider, and I encourage any business--not just tech companies--to contact CW in order to find out how to enhance their own customer outreach. These guys wrote the book, chapter and verse. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Columbia Wireless is the best!

I've been with Columbia Wireless for 13 years now. We signed up when we moved to the Kootenays, and have never changed. Their service is excellent - when a problem is brought to their attention, their tech online or on the ground get to it quickly. The speed is more than sufficient, and they continue to upgrade. In an age of big, distant, global companies where increasing share value is the only commodity of value, CW, a local family run business, shows that, with the support of local people, something excellent can be built locally.

Incredible customer service and 100x better (and way cheaper) than Xplornet !!! Our cottage is rural on Arrow Lake with no cell service but the internet has never let us down!

UPDATE: 2 years later and still the absolute best internet & customer service around!

We stumbled upon Columbia Wireless by fluke.  I am a long time Telus loyal customer for my phone service and automatically use the rest of their services.  When we could not get our wifi through them I was skeptical of going with a smaller local company.  Columbia Wireless has been exceptional to deal with in every way.  From the very first contact, they have been easy to deal with, offer supreme quality service and are always supportive, informative and helpful.  I give them a 5 out of 5 start rating for all categories, including business morals, quality, and customer relations.
