Dan Hill from Nelson homes was incredible to work with, if I could give more than 5 stars I would. Communication was 10/10, super personable to deal with, with the whole process was made so easy and even when we decided to go in a different direction with our home, he stayed in contact and helped us, if we ever decide to buy another home we will definitely go with Dan.

Beware of this location prior to purchasing your home. They were fantastic throughout the planning and delivering process, however once the house was paid in full, placed on the lot, and it was time for their warranty fixes everything went downhill. We have seen multiple trades people come through our house to attempt to fix items. The amount of staff turnover we have seen, the amount of excuses of people being sick, and being told things are looked after is unlike any other company. October 2024 will be 2 years since our house was delivered and we are still waiting on our 1 year warranty fixes to be completed. We have been in contact our sales guy Tyson who has now moved into the title of Operations Manager, along with most recently Craig who is supposed to be lining people up to come fix. When I get calls and responses back I only get 1 of multiple questions answered, each week is a new excuse as to why something’s not completed. Those calls are usually after 1 email, 2 voicemails, and possibly more phone calls after until one of them answers their phone.

Don’t get me wrong this company can make some beautiful homes, but beware that you are going to pay for a house in full and may or not actually receive the house you paid for finished and completed to any standard. I really hate the stress this has put on us, we are currently in a state of looking for the next steps in finding help as we have had no luck with who we have been dealing with.

I tried to contact Nelson Homes to get a quote and potentially start the process of purchasing a home from them. My first attempt was by email from which I got a reply from a sales person about a week after I sent it. I replied to the email to get more information. It's been over a week with no reply. So, I called the company a few days ago during business hours, no one answered and no one returned my call after I left a voice mail. If this is Nelson's way of dealing with a costumer who's trying to give them money I can't imagine the terrible costumer service with any warranty issues, etc. I'm going to take my business elsewhere.

We chose Nelson Homes for our RTM. They recommended a Nelson Homes Building contractor by the name of Trent Tomyn of Tomyn Construction out of Davidson, Sask. He has been a nightmare to deal with. He either hires out sub contractors for the lowest price and the workmanship is of very poor quality or he does the work himself. Well if he does it himself it never gets done. Our home was to be completed Nov 2022 and it is now 7 months later and no where near being done. There has been no work being done n the house since Dec. he doesn’t answer calls or text messages. He tells you when people will be there and he is just throwing out dates. Never shows up. So incompetent. Buyer beware

Nelson Homes from my experience with them works hard for their customers to provide a quality product. These homes are great and innovative and can be fully customized from a cabin to a large 4000+ sqft house.

Brutal. I have sent multiple quotes, multiple times with no response. After sending a quote a message pops up stating that an agent will be in contact within 2-3 business days. I requested my first quote on December 09, 2021 and to this date have not received a response. Very disappointing, because the homes are beautiful.
