We've been using Renter's Choice to manage our property, and they’ve been doing an excellent job! I understand they receive some negative reviews from a tenant’s perspective — but that's largely because they are very thorough and selective with their screening process.

From a landlord’s point of view, I can confidently say that they have your back. We had a difficult situation where tenants abandoned the property, and it was handled with great professionalism and care. The outcome was better than we expected.

I’d especially like to highlight Nicci, their leasing agent. She is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and always on top of everything. Her communication and dedication truly stand out.

I highly recommend Renter's Choice to any property owner looking for reliable and professional management.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! Would give 0 stars if possible. Customer service interactions were always incredibly rude and took forever to get anything done. Would have to send me through a chain of 5 people before I even got the chance to explain what needed fixing. Then it took 2 weeks+ after that for someone to come. Dishwasher had been broken for a month when we moved out and probably still is. Tried to say it cost 700+ to clean a house that was already clean.

Hi my sen from Cranbrook bc, I have a apartment at lethbridge n this company looks after this place since 1 yrs,but today I m here to say some things about this company staff, amy Thomas is a 1 of the best staff I feel in this company, She not only repair incharge of unit she also take all responsibility of other people work too,like when I need other staff members for communication for something I not responded back how she quickly responded slove all my issues, I can say she is a number 1 employee of this company, other I not appreciate

Renter's Choice is a horrible company. Please nobody use them. We loved there for just over five months and not one repair got fixed. We had black mould in the ceiling and they never came to check. After moving out we got an outrageous invoice saying that we smoked pot in the bedroom and we never once smoked it. With both our health issues we couldn't smoke it. And now they want to charge us for repairs that they should have done while we lived there.

I am a renter and my breaker in the kitchen went out and they wanted to wait a day to come get it. My fridge did not have power. We have a few lights that needed replacing and they have not come to replace them for 4 months. They're overall service for the property is very poor. The people are friendly. But the service is atrocious.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY

This company is full of uneducated and disrespectful. They stole our money and said that we didn't pay and refused to give us keys to the house until we paid (which we had proof of), they are never available to talk and when you finally get through they will refuse to help or tell you off. The person who showed the house knew nothing about the property or process, the inspector lady forged paperwork before we were even set up to do the inspection, they changed dates on contracts, and also broke contracts. Their company policies also go against the Tenant Act.

Stay away from these people at all costs.

As a homeowner, I am no longer afraid to voice my opinion. Over the past 6-7 years, I was a tenant in Taber & area. Every time a home I was interested in was listed by RC, I had to go through hell and high water to speak to someone. Now, they request that you book viewings online. Okay.
Once you get a place, yeah, you could put in a maitenance request in the online portal. But they would never actually send anyone out. Slap some "processing" or "pending" label on my request and forget about it. The last home I lived in through them, I put in a request DURING THE MOVE IN INSPECTION to fix the back door as it was letting in the cold. This was in December. 2 weeks later, I submitted the same request online through the portal. Once winter was finally over, someone else bought the property, removed RC's control, and the new owner took care of it immediately.

To landlords: do yourself a favour and manage your property yourself. Taber is a small town, everyone knows about RCs reputation. The moment they see that logo on your listing, you lose about 50% of your potential tenants. People just dont want to deal with them, so they wont even bother applying.

We Rented a House through Renter Choice Management couple months ago and due to an unforeseen health issue we had to move out find someone to take over our lease and the application Clerk and lease approval team did a fantastic job quickly getting us through the process!
