One of the best fish and chips I've had in a long time. Perfect amount of batter, fish was nice and flaky, not dry, crispy on the outside right until the end of the meal. Very delicious. The tarter sauce was delicious and the coleslaw was one of the best I've had as well, perfect amount of sauce to veggies. I'll probably be back next Friday for the fish and chips special again because that was so delicious.

The cook deserves a raise for that perfectly cooked fish. 12/10

Me and my partner came here the other day we were seated quickly the service was amazing and the food was delicious! I highly recommend the pulled pork sandwich! The staff are polite and friendly. They also had no problem making accommodations to my meal so I'd enjoy it more.

Service was great. Club sandwich was pretty good. Ruben was ok. Fish was visually pleasing however it was quite greasy. Cost about 100 bucks for 4 of us to have lunch with tip. Id give it probably a 3.5 if i could. Decent but doubt ill ever go back, nothing really stood out.

I dont go out much, and every thing else was closed except this place. I ordered the Mac and cheese Burger and was delicious!! I will say that, crappie thing is it wasnt cooked all the way! I did tell the server and she did take a couple $ off my order. All ways a good place to eat tho in the past!!!

Public house ruined a good thing by changing the steak sandwich. It was a perfectly fine sandwich before they destroyed it with too much gravy. All I could taste was gravy and the buns were incredibly soggy. There were very little bites where I could actually taste the steak in this STEAK sandwich just peppers and gravy. Also onion rings should be crispy NOT soggy.

Purchased fish and chips and it was definitely not fresh. I told the waiter this wasn't fresh haddock, his reply was no it's ifo frozen and you can't get fresh fish in any restaurant. I beg to differ. Regardless I won't be back.

This is my go-to place in all of Nova Scotia for a grilled Rueben Sandwich. Nothing else compares or even comes close! I live in HRM and anytime I am in Bridgewater I always stop into The Public House for a Rueben and I am never disappointed! I have even done the drive before in the past specifically to eat it, so I can assure you there is no other around that compares! Just make sure sure to bring your appetite because you will need it or you will leave stuffed to the brim!

I have been coming here on and off for years and it has never changed. If I could give this location 10 stars I would! Great service with amazing food! You have not lived until you have tried their grilled Reuben sandwich!
