I communicated with Keith V. from CALC over the phone, for the most part. He was extremely helpful in getting a small but very important problem I was having with the Government sorted out, doing so quickly & efficiently. This was after I had spent months trying to get things resolved on my own, to no avail. He was very polite, & seemed like a good person sincerely intent on helping others & doing good work.

The agent I spoke with was very knowledgeable. She showed a lot of empathy for my situation as well as understanding. I appreciated the way she looked after me. The waiting room was very clean and welcoming.

Try Ontario Legal Aid, not this agency. I told the truth, their lawyer yells at me, calls me a liar, said my emails explaining situation were abusive. Not true. Myy counselors sat there saying nothing, I walked out, disgusted by lawyer's behaviour. Truth means nothing to this lawyer. No trust, no faith, no point.

If you ever end up in small claims court you better pray you never get Gina Cockburn for a judge. She is biased and very unprofessional. It took 2 months to for me to get my ruling only to find out my claim was dismissed on grounds that she claimed I NEVER submitted. I had all my information that every hearing judge prior to her had asked for but she NEVER even read the claim prior to going into the zoom meeting. But….she let the MALE legal council speak for 1.5 hours and didn’t even let my FEMALE council speak for 20 minutes. Every time my council spoke she would interrupt saying she didn’t want to hear it. There is a complaint going in against her not only as a judge but I’m also putting in a complaint to Upper Canada Law Society because Gina Cockburn is not competent enough to act as a lawyer let alone a judge. When all the evidence is sitting right in front of her and she cannot see it….
