I had the pleasure of working with Matthew for my wedding, and I have mixed feelings about the experience. During our consultation phone calls, Matthew was very kind and professional, and I appreciated his attention to my needs. I also used his music portal to add a variety of songs, which made it easy to set the vibe I wanted for the day.

For the wedding itself, I created a playlist with over 4 hours of music (more than the wedding lasted), and I didn’t specify the order because I trusted Matthew to read the crowd. Unfortunately, when it came to the dancing portion, I was disappointed with his DJing. He would play a great song, but then choose the next track that just didn’t fit the vibe, leaving the dance floor empty. You could visibly see people walk off or head to the bar when a song played, which was one of my biggest fears. I wonder if he even knew most of the songs I added, or if he just picked from the suggestions of the ones he was familiar with.

His ability to read the room was lacking. For example, during our intro, he announced us perfectly, but then when we got to the floor, he let the song keep playing instead of noticing that we were ready for our first dance. Guests had already started sitting back down, which made the moment awkward. It felt like he just let the song play out instead of being more attentive to the bride and groom, which was disappointing.

On a positive note, the photo booth was a big hit, and everything leading up to the dancing portion went smoothly. Overall, while there were some great aspects to the service, the DJing was not what I had hoped for, especially for the price.

Matt truly went above and beyond our expectations! He followed our every ask and was on top of everything! From speeches to mixing music he was courteous and fun! We can’t recommend him enough as a DJ but also an entertaining Emcee!

Matt DJ'd our wedding and was such a breeze to work with! He was responsive to messages, professional, kind, and had a great personality! My husband said he had "such a great DJ voice", and I would have to agree. Matt had lots of valuable insight to give us while planning our wedding, and even throughout the day/evening. He plays requests promptly, and is very thorough in his work. He is very affordable, yet so incredibly talented! He even was able to accommodate my sudden need for a photobooth, after my photobooth suddenly quit on me. 10/10 would recommend hiring Matt!
