Have done promotional work for this company since 2022. They pay well but communication could be improved. Its confusing to not know when you're being paid. Also maybe hire more people and do shorter shifts when the job includes being on your feet for 12 hours in one day. That being said everyone is very nice and the pay is decent for this economy. I only wish they had more gigs out here in Alberta.

(I have read the reviews from years ago and I'm happy to report that those issues seem to be resolved now.)

I want to echo the concerns raised by Rochelle and Rishabh about widespread wage theft at Influence Marketing, particularly under the management of Nicholas McNulty. Nick McNulty is incapable of basic math calculations - he believes 8am-4:30pm shift is 7.5 hours and 8am-6:30pm shift is 10 hours. He refused to provide a wage payment or pay stub, which is illegal under the ESA. To this day, I have not been provided with a wage statement and have not been paid the missing money.

It is disheartening that sales representatives risked their lives to work at Costco roadshows during the pandemic, while Influence Marketing steals from its workers. Nicholas McNulty is now working as a Peninsula business sales consultant - a disturbing case of a mediocre man failing upward.

Fun activations, great company. If I were to run this company I would make payroll much more seamless, lots of friction right now. And I don’t just say this for the contractor. But from the employees that work at Influence standpoint, because having to chase people down for contracts or pay stubs is no fun.
This is a company that solves a really important problem for businesses—which is, in person marketing. And Influence Marketing should succeed. They deserve to. Because these activations liven up the city.

Given that there’s a tight labor force, and you know, Gen Z they don’t like as much friction. Let’s rethink some 19th century processes. I still recommend this company for activations, because the activations are quite fun.

I have to say I have never seen a company handel themselves so unprofessionally. I will never work for a company like this. Nick is extremely rude.I have been asking him for a week about how the pay works and he ignored me then told me that we would go over it in training. We didn't. After finding out it takes a month to get paid I wanted to back out. Nick then took it like a persoa l attack and began to call me out in a text. Telling me he tried to call me. He acted like he expected me to sit around all day and wait for him to call me. Its just crazy that they have no regard for you or who they're talking to . My advice is move on choose another marketing company or employer. Should change your management a company is only as good as they're team.
