Bar Down has that true local pub atmosphere — the kind of place where everyone seems to know each other, and newcomers still feel right at home. The service was outstanding; our waitress checked on us often and made sure everything was perfect. The portions were huge and the meals were simple but absolutely delicious. Great spot for a relaxed evening, hearty food, and friendly service.

A couple of days ago I stopped into Bar Down in Kincardine to grab wings for my best friend as takeout, and I have to say, they were absolutely incredible! Perfectly cooked, sauced just right, and packed with flavor – hands down some of the best wings . The portions were generous, fresh, and clearly made with care.

The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and quick to get everything packaged up perfectly so it stayed hot and fresh all the way home. It really makes a difference when you can tell the team takes pride in what they’re serving and how they treat their customers.

Whether you’re grabbing a bite in the restaurant or picking up takeout like I did, Bar Down is a go-to spot in Kincardine. Great atmosphere, great people, and food that always hits the mark. Already looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu – but those wings will definitely be a repeat order!

Great Prime rib - LOVE it. You will, as well 🙂 - was my 1st and 2nd reviews, from last week. (Ordered 3 times within 8 days 🙂 and now I have to change my review from 5 stars to 3 stars... SORRY!

New/Updated review - I came to exact pickup time (7.40 pm). The Order was warm already, not hot. It was almost cold on the end of my 10 minutes home dinner. Ordered 10 oz, but looks like at least 30% I got was a fat (understandable partial fat of great meat, but newer almost 30%). Requested Medium / received Medium rare, close to Rare - struggled to cut even with knife. For the last 8 days I bought it 3 times ... and now I definitely NOT have a plan to order it again for the next weekend. Will check other places. SORRY. This is not the food I expected for the price I paid. Hope you will take this into consideration for your future clients. Good luck.

Beautiful spot. Food is great. Drinks maybe Even better? I’ll let you decide. Nikki and Jaime are absolute beauties. Really good sports bar spot with multiple levels. Worth a shot if you’re in Kincardine.

Atmosphere was very cozy, came on a Friday and had live music available. There are pool tables and a bar, and a seperate dining area.
Drinks were amazing, especially the blue raspberry lemonade!! 😍😍
The food was good but not amazing.. the prime rib sandwich had way too much horseradish sauce and not enough meat (that wasn't pink anymore at all btw) unfortunately, but the regular prime rib dinner with asparagus and a baked potato was pretty good! Candied brussel sprouts had a lot of burnt bacon bits but tasted good overall. I would say the atmosphere is amazing, service was excellent, but the food is a bit overpriced in my opinion.. 😅
On another note, I do wanna mention a "program" they offer where you can pay $15 for a purple heart to pin onto the wall, for someone in need to take and receive a meal in return. I'm all for that!! ☺️❣️
Overall I was happy with my experience and I think I would come back to try something else of the menu if ever find my way back to Kincardine! 😋
