Had an AMAZING experience with Michael at Belleville Sport Chek who helped me select my first pair of skis and boots. He was highly knowledgeable about the various types of skis and boots and super accommodating in terms of “baking” the skis boots so that they would mould to my feet/legs properly. His professionalism, expertise and kindness made me pull the trigger on the investment of owning vs. renting. THANK YOU MICHAEL!!

Horrible location. Zero customer service. Zero help from management. If you can head to the Bowmanville they have amazing service, and way more stock. I have a disability and my husband who is caring for me, my young son and working. I called ahead for an exchange of two items. And asked if they could put them aside to save him time when he heads in. First line response was no we don’t set aside items then when I let them know on the weekend another store offered to call to have them set aside for us they asked their management. The management agreed to set them aside for one hour only. Such a kindness *sarcastic. I get it if they looked them up and only had one remaining, maybe. But without even checking just a straight no. We had other items to purchase but not anymore. Heading to the Bowmanville from here on out.

Worst customer service.. got damaged shoes and when went to store upon asking employees they offered to either replace or refund it. So we asked to place an replacement order. I was wearing the shoes at that time. So they asked me to pay $84 as a security deposit (actual price of those shoes) and gave me a receipt/ order confirmation which i would use to get my $84 back on returning damaged shoes to them. Today I went to store again to return shoes and get my refund. The manager at that time argued that she can’t refund me. So why one employee says one thing and second employee tells u another thing. This was insulting the way she argued with me.

Had an unfortunate experience while trying to find an item I needed, I called 2 hours prior and was very specific and clear I wanted a carhartt rain defender half zip hoodie. I show up and the cashier brings out a grey carhartt puffer jacket. I tell the cashier that isn’t what I called for nor what I was looking for and she says “well this is what we have” I then ask if she could see if they have that size to which she acts like is a chore and then with attitude tells me they don’t have the size I need. I then asked if they had anything similar and she tells me to go look myself! I was shocked with the customer service and how unhelpful/rude she was. She didn’t even offer to order it online or have any helpful suggestions. I ended up going to the cash at the main entrance inside the mall to deal with another cashier who might actually be helpful and Katie was so kind and immediately helped me find a solution, ended up ordering the size I needed right to my house!

Started Christmas shopping here Fri,. It started well here, as the shoe staff was good and found my choices, but as I wandered out to rest of store I noticed it was unusually Not busy in store for a weekend holiday shopping time? (And the food court was pretty full) So, I guess people were not looking for sports stuff? But, when I went to cashier near the weightlifting area to ask about pricing on their stuff, the 2 staff were less than helpful.... I noticed that being Black Friday Sale for them, the outside display said 'All items in Store On Sale', so I naturally asked, what an item in their section was 'On Sale' for, but the young lady I asked had to ask the guy beside her, (who I assumed was a Mgr or swing Mgr, or knew more than her?), which it turned out not really, because he said no sale on it? But, their outside display ad said, 'All items in store on Sale'... So, I just did not buy the item and could get it online, (which I had checked on Amazon, later and being $7 cheaper!) Not end of story here, as when I went to cash out what I got from the shoe section, the same fella at this cashier next to weight area, says 'this cash is closed, go to the cash next to him, that the girl was busy with only 1 other customer now. I went to the other side of the store's cash, since I wanted to go back out into the mall to do more shopping ... 2 things happened here: 1) False advertising and 2) this guy that was at the cash by the weightlifting equip, was not very customer friendly, as he did not follow his stores ad and could have just cashed me out, since I was the 1st person there dealing with the 2 there... If he was the swing Mgr or a person with authority on a Fri, he should not, because, No customer friendliness and worst of all , 'a personality of a wet paper towel'.

With this type of Cust Service, I will got to other Sports stores, like Fitness Depot, go to Peterborough stores or simply shop online... If your mgmt sees this, but if you do not and this guy is mgmt, than God help ya! (Did not catch this fellas name, but a quick descript is: thin build, balding and glasses? Avoiding this store for sure, as I need to drive about 40 mins here anyways...
