Michelle was also great to cater the training specifically to our Board - doing work with us ahead of training to ensure the training was perfect for what we needed and she also provided excellent handouts to keep after the training was complete.

Our rating is one star above our true rating as the system will not accept zero stars. Our sightseeing tour business, my wife and I, hired AoR to update and polish our website. Besides the written contract, being older from the pre-tech days we had a handshake agreement that their work would be explained to us so that we could generally understand what was going on. To further cemented the handshake by adding on a training component. We had been in business for about seven years.

"Training" consisted of my wife and I sitting at an AoR's employees elbow while she read out loud the content that we had submitted to her for each page of the site. Nothing as to how to get into the site even to correct a typo. We were set up with several add-ons that we accepted on faith, expecting to understand in due course. That didn't happen -- no explanation in lay terms so we were left with extra bills to pay. No training whatsoever.

The principal of the company seemed to do a lot of work, without explanation of what he was doing. His final report was unintelligible, filled with tech language, and was totally indecipherable.

We were offered, and eagerly accepted, a tutorial. When it was received we hadn't even been given enough clarity to even read the first step in the tutorial, being tech speak and starting way inside the back door, not at a known starting point. Absolutely useless.

A very high percentage of our clientele had come to us through our old website. We expected increased traffic following AoR's modernization. Traffic fell to zero instead. No new inquiries nor contacts.

After several thousand dollars we ended up disconnected from the contact information on the website. After the 'upgraded' website went live we did not receive a single new enquiry for the next 1 ½ years, at which point we had to close the business.

AoR did not even submit an invoice though we paid each of the contracted several instalments on time.

In conclusion we paid AoR several thousand dollars with the only result that our presence on the web was destroyed and our business lost. Our rating of one star signifies that we respected their ambition to be in business. Otherwise our experience was absolute total rip-off by AoR.
