What can I say about Arlie and his team that likely has not been said before? We chose Arlie without hesitation when the time came to sell our acreage in the Stony Plain / Spruce Grove area. His name is synonymous with real estate as long as we've been in the area, 40+ years. In an acreage flooded market and almost weekly interest rate changes, we knew we needed a realtor who understood the needs of a Seller and a Buyer and what stood in the way of a quick sale. Arlie and his team took the time to get to know us and what we needed from our sale and refused to waste our time with unqualified buyers and tire kickers. The team addressed any concerns potential buyers came forward with and moved quickly if a buyer felt right. Once the right buyer came forward, all details were tied up neatly and in a very timely matter. While the real estate markets were of no help, Arlie took all things considered in stride and made our experience very painless. i meant to share my experience months ago, i thought i’d just let it go but i keep thinking about it, so here we are. arlie was the realtor for the house i purchased, and let me mention that this is the first home i ever purchased. we did dual representation, i feel as if my side was not accurately represented at all and he was more in favour of the sellers. he told me multiple times that the house would come with 90% of the furniture, i didn’t know that i needed to get this in writing, and he never once told me that i needed to. so when i moved in everything was taken, this was extremely disappointing and i felt taken advantage of, being that i’m a first time home buyer not really knowing how this whole process works. he was also not there at the time of possession, he hid the key in the barbecue. when i called him about all of the furniture being taken, he said he’d contact the sellers and get back to me. he never got back to me. communication was terrible, whenever i’d have questions or concerns he would seem very annoyed with me and would use sales tactics on me. he made me feel very uncomfortable and didn’t provide me with a lot of information i needed. thankfully, my parents once owned this house and they we able to go through old documents to get me the information i needed for the bank. overall, a very terrible experience as first time home buyer. would not recommend to use arlie for dual representation.
