I recently had the pleasure of working with Ashton Construction Services over the past 5 months on a renovation project - I cannot speak highly enough of their professionalism and expertise. Throughout the project, their attention to detail was incredible and every aspect of the project was executed within the communicated/agreed upon timelines. The level of quality was amazing and the finished product was a much needed improvement to the previous conditions. They were very thoughtful in construction activity planning and were always proactive in engaging the proper stakeholders prior to mobilizing crews to sight. It was very evident that they take pride in their work throughout the entire project.

Ashton Construction Services was highly responsive, and no matter the issue or question, they were always quick to address it, ensuring the project stayed on track without unnecessary delays. Their proactive approach was a game-changer—when unexpected issues arose, they took the initiative to find solutions without being prompted, which saved us both time and stress. Even once the work was substantially completed and people moved into the space, our PM was still actively engaged with us to problem solve and complete some small scopes that popped up at the end of the project.

We hired Ashton Construction Services to build our new restaurant, Shoku Izakaya. As with any new restaurant project, there are several challenges and adjustment that must be dealt with on a daily/weekly basis. The fact that we were building during a pandemic also made supplies more difficult to access and be affordable. The team at ACS was always very responsive and dedicated to meet such challenges and keep the project on budget. Communication was effective and the building was well executed. The end result was fantastic. A big thank you to Steve, Tara and to Jeremy who was always there to help us with many questions and problem solving. We highly recommend ACS.

I just want to share our experience with Ashton Construction. The Avens Gallery hired Ashton to expand the art storage area. The timing for completion was vital as the gallery was scheduled for an event. Not only was it done on time but a few days to spare ! Everyone we worked with at Ashton, Steve, Dave and Curtis were absolutely awesome, professional, timely and trustworthy. The trades they hired were also fantastic to work with. It really was seamless and stress free which is rare these days ! Thank you Ashton we appreciate all your hard work and efforts for us even though we were a small job you made us priority.

It was my first experience managing a renovation project of a commercial property in Banff.
I selected Ashton construction after visiting another site similar to mine. Steve, the owner, show pride in his work and he is well connected with community of trades. I like the quality of the work and the openness in answering all my questions. I had lots.
My project was over 300K in costs. It involved completely replacing the flat roof of the building, demolishing the existing heating and cooling and replacing with new roof top units.
Ashton put in place a schedule and a budget and I received constant updates on the progress of the work. Including daily pictures of key aspects of the work. I was able to manage the project almost entirely remotely still feeling I was following closely what was happening.
In addition Ashton managed to keep the commercial activity in the stores almost not impacted except for about a week. Which I thought it was incredible.
A lot depended on 2 key people:
- the excellent site supervisor assigned by Ashton to be there every day to follow the work in person.
- the other was the project manager. Who provide weekly updates in very clear emails with progress and outstanding issues and items that would impact the budget and she coordinated the various activities so that things would continue to happen in the right sequence without loosing time.
We are at the tail end of the project and I can say I'm very satisfied. A little under budget too! Thx Ashton Construction.

Stone Creek Resorts (Silvertip) We were fortunate to contract Aston construction to do two projects for us this summer. The first project was the renovation of our golf pro-shop and creation of the Silvertip Market and Bistro. Claire our project superintendent did a wonderful job of managing trades, dealing with the architect and making the always needed adjustments to what was designed and what needed to be constructed. The second project was a renovation to our administrative offices to add a marketing centre. This required removal of existing walls, redecorating the space including paint and adding back in walls and trim. It was time sensitive and Claire again managed to balance the timing of her trades to get this done on time and well within our proposed budget. Ashton construction have great systems, trades and personnel a pleasure to work with and always on top of where the budget is at.
