I am writing this review as a follow up to Reagan Wynn’s negative review posted for her friend. I am the counsellor she was speaking of that left at the beginning for 5-10 minutes NOT 45 minutes, to do an emergency wellness check on my mother!!!
There were 7 kids NOT 10 and one had her own support with her!! When I returned all children had not been present yet and some of the parents were playing with their kids, as it was new to them and some were a little nervous to be expected. I had to immediately talk to each parent and reassure them that their children will be fine in our care, it wasn’t until then did the parents feel comfortable to leave, so I’m sorry if you have a degree in Psychology I’m sure you would know how to handle this situation, we had one child who was flight risk so we had to watch the door, however her friend she’s speaking of stood by the door almost the whole time, even when the child was actively playing, I had to ask her to help me a few times. If she was concerned about the children safety and has the education she says she has, I would have thought to have more support from her. Please don’t speak so negative about something if you don’t know both sides of the story.

I am writing this on behalf of my friend, as I have never seen her so upset about something in my life and the public should be aware. My friend who has a degree in psychology with a diploma in Child and Youth wanted to gain some experience this summer working with children with various disabilities, as this has always been a passion of hers. She learned about Behavioural Connections online and they were hiring, specifically needing someone to help out at their summer camp. She applied and was accepted the role, where strangely enough they did not even ask for a Criminal Records Check... first red flag. Already uneasy, she decides to see what this company is all about as she was in search of a job in this industry and this sounded good online (from their own online reviews, which seem fake). They do not get her to sign anything before she is expected to start. She shows up early and the only other camp counsellor that is present, says she has to leave for 45mins and will be back. This left my friend alone with no emergency contact number or any resources, just an email. With little to no knowledge on her role, the camp kids started to show up. 10 kids with various disabilities and parents were feeling extremely uncomfortable with how this camp was being run, as my friend was brand new with no training what so ever with zero information to support the families. I wouldn't blame the families, they have every right to feel uncomfortable. The other counsellors finally come back and also speak little to no english. I am bringing awareness to this as my friend was extremely stressed and upset about this situation and wanted to leave, however for the children's safety she stayed (she had no obligation to as she did not sign a contract or anything before starting). This organization should be shut down and reported immediately.

Great experience with Behavioural Connections for last couple of months. The therapists came to our location and assisted our child for hours. We have been seeing significant changes in his behavior. I will share more updates going forward.

I have seen a lot of improvement in my kid’s behaviour after starting ABA with Shanyce. She is wonderful, caring, empathetic and an awesome teacher. I highly recommend behavioural connections to anyone seeking help with ABA.
