We visited Banff in February and found Big Bear Trading Company—a fantastic shop with high-quality merchandise. The prices are similar to other stores, but the selection is much better. They have a great variety of souvenir clothing like t-shirts, hoodies, and sweatshirts, all well-made and stylish.

They also have a nice collection of magnets, making it a great place for gifts. What really stands out is their locally branded clothing, which has unique designs and supports local businesses. If you're looking for great souvenirs, this is the place to go!

Beware! Extremely disappointing experience. Purchased a $31 CAD tote bag and at the cashier I asked if I may pay with US dollars. The women working cashier said of course and I told me it came out to $28 US dollars. I told her that math doesn’t check out- I know the currency and 31CAD certainly does not equal 28US dollars. She then hesitated and said oh my computer is glitching- utter lie. I quickly stated I’m not playing this game and I’ll just use my credit card if that’s how we’re going to act. I love to support local business but this is one way to detour me from ever going back or recommending. The cashier number on my receipt is #1491.

Estuve en Banff el 4 de Junio. La tienda es muy bonita y bien decorada. Los empleados agradables y me atendieron muy bien. El problema fué que yo compré dos sudaderas y me cobraron tres., es decir que pagué una sudadera extra que no me llevé.
No me di cuenta en ese momento y cuando lo hice ya no estábamos en Banff.
Por supuesto les he escrito a su correo y espero su respuesta en breve. Supongo que debió ser un error y no fué intencionado.

Love this store so much! I bought cozy sweatshirts in both the Banff and Canmore stores, and everything is of great quality. I ordered another crewneck online from the United States, and I received my order quickly. It even had a friendly handwritten note inside. Would highly recommend!

Loved the shop me and husband got so many hoodies, sweatshirts and magnets as gifts. It’s right on the core downtown banff . I found it very reasonable and wide variety shop.
