Huge rave for Birdsong Studio in High River! They hosted my daughter’s 8th birthday party, and it was absolutely wonderful!

Russell and Heather were incredibly warm, welcoming, and engaging with all the kids. Each child got to create their own painting on canvas with their guidance, making it a truly immersive and enjoyable experience. One of the boys in our group really wanted to paint his cat, and Russell went above and beyond—he printed a picture of the cat and provided gentle guidance, ensuring the boy’s artwork remained his own.

The studio’s vibrant atmosphere, filled with incredible artwork, made the experience even more special. As a parent, this was probably the most relaxed and effortless party I’ve ever hosted. Instead of traditional party favors, Russell and Heather gifted each child a signed copy of their art book, which the kids absolutely loved!

I highly encourage everyone to check out Birdsong Studio. They offer adult classes as well, and their own artwork is amazing. If you’re looking for a custom painting of a loved one or a pet, this is definitely the place to go!

I have purchased 8 pieces of art from Russell - each one is unique and absolutely beautiful! Shipping was fast and safely packaged and secured. I am often asked which painting is my favorite .. is it Tommy Douglas that my brother was named after? Perhaps the elephant so regal and stunning .. I think it might be the Giraffes looking down upon the baby - it reminds me of the important work I do. Some day I want to add a personalized portrait of my fur babies because I see Russell is killing it in this area now!! On a side note, Russell has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars with his philanthropic ventures. Great human - wonderful family.

We have been repeat customers of Russell’s artwork. The imagery, colour, and attention to detail in the first piece we purchased left us wanting to have more of his pieces in our home. In total, we have 4 pieces in our home, both originals and embellished prints, my wife has an embellished print in her office, and we also purchased an embellished print for a dear friend. None of the pieces have disappointed, and they always attract stares and questions about where they could acquire pieces as well.

When our pieces arrived (we are in Ontario), they were always packaged well (when I say well, Russell probably calls it standard but it is much more than what I would consider standard) and meticulously wrapped inside the box.

Communication was always top notch, with Russell communicating everything from processes of pieces to tracking, there was never a question about where our pieces were.

For all these reasons, we have been and will continue to be customers of Birdsong Studios.

Wonderful time getting to know Heather & Russell. This loft is a great room open space concept, it is up scale and marvellous. Because of the open concept, the loft feels very large, lots of room here. The rental has everything you need, comfortable bed, very nice kitchen, 4 piece bathroom, and a bright open living area topped off with a washer/dryer. Below the loft, R&H work in their studio creating beautiful art. I had great a conversation with them, as we chatted they painted. The ambiance of it all is very cool, truly it was a special experience, if available when you are booking, book this one!

Wow! Was walking past this lovely area in Okatoks Alberta when I came across this lil gem of a studio. So inviting and such beautiful art. The gentlemen working the studio was so kind and knowledgeable about the art on the walls. The artwork was so inspirational and unique, couldn’t leave without taking something home.
