Boston Pizza - High Level, Alberta

Went in last night Saturday Sept 20th, 2024. Had a meal in the lounge, and ordered another meal (carnivore pasta) to-go for lunch today at my work site. Opened it up at lunch to find my server had rang in a jambalaya fettuccine. Great, I'm allergic to shrimp.

Took it in completely untouched after work looking for a refund, only to find a very unsympathetic manager tell me they don't offer refunds. I get it, policy. But hey they can offer me store credit for the amount but only redeemable at this particular location. It's High Level, everyone here is here for work and I'm leaving back home tomorrow.

The rest of the interaction went as follows:

"Can I get a gift card that's good for all Boston Pizza locations?"
"No..only this location"
"That doesn't work for me. I'm leaving tomorrow."
"I can order you something to eat right now."
"I'm not hungry right now (it's 3:00pm) and I have dinner plans"
"Sorry that's our policy."

I eventually got her to go talk to "her supervisor" and she came back a few minutes later with a $25 gift card supposedly good for all locations.

Unbelievable. I get mistakes happen, and I don't blame the server all that much. But I ordered one thing, and was given something else THAT COULD HARM ME.

Un-🤬-believable. A situation like this should result in a FULL REFUND no questions asked. With crappy service like this becoming the norm, it's no wonder why people go to the media with stories like this.

Next time I'm in High Level for work, I will absolutely not be going back.

The wings are the best item off the menu. Could improve on the service and the washrooms are clean however one of the soap dispensers is always broken and the towel dispenser is always broken and there's a roll left on the table. Other than that highly recommend. It's a tough pick between Dennys and Bostin Pizza!

We were there for celebrity server night. Boston pizza was supporting the High Level Public School Sr. Girls Basketball team. All staff were great, Meadow was our server, she was fantastic. Great with our kids, excellent service, and checked in to see if we needed anything else.

Had a very bad experience…
After ordering my steak sandwich well done, I received it medium rare!! No problem so far, can always ask them to fix it. The nice server said they will remake it and I thanked her 👍.
5 minutes later, a lady comes from the back saying that I ordered a medium rare steak and that they will not make it again 😡.
I asked for my server back and she fixed the issue by bringing a well done steak sandwich.
The stake came after my French fries were frozen cold already, but I just had to live with it!!!
The person that came out rude was one of the supervisors eventually!!

Delightfully surprised, great food all hot and cooked properly. The double baked hot wings were double baked and hot tempature wise. Pizza was good and beer on tap cold. Pretty fundamental and important, with great service we had a great experience. Was here many years ago Nd this is a vast improvement.

food was fantastic !!! Our server, Mercedes was really polite, and was quick to deliver our food! She continuously checked up on us, offering refills and ensuring the quality of food.

The service was excellent, Meadow had a smile and a great attitude. The food was good and served fairly quick. My son loved the fries.

Great service in the lounge by all the staff happy and friendly. A great meal from the kitchen was served up in a quick fashion. Grest job.
