I have, and will continue to always recommend Bright Minds Daycare to anyone who will listen.
My children have been at this daycare for a couple of months now and they love it. Not only for all the amazing friends they have made, but also because of the patience and dedication of their teachers. One of my kids is very reserved, and watching everyone there be patient and understanding with her, as well as trying to gently coax her out of her shell is absolutely amazing.
When we first started I was hesitant to put my kids in daycare, and not only did they go above and beyond to make the transition seamless, they also helped me with it. Before I even reached the rooms I would have various accounts of how they did for the day, and what they had been up to.
I love the family feel there, and how they make each family feel like they are the only ones that go there. The fact that most, if not all, of the families I speak to have been there for years, is a testament to the centre and staff.
What I like about the centre in regard to learning is how they focus on learning through play, and try to get the kids outside as much as they can. Every child is different and they make sure they accommodate to each individual child as best they can.
If you are looking for a safe, fun, family environment for your child/children, Bright Minds is the place to go.

My 2 children have been at Bright Minds for going on 4 years! They've made so many friends and learned so much while being there. The teachers are great and care alot about every child! My 3 year old even told her teacher that she loves her. Their connection is much more than that of a "babysitter" which is so meaningful to me as a parent, considering the amount of time spent in care! I have recommended this Daycare to many of my friends and family who also are very happy here. My kids always come home with crafts, and stories of what they did that day and the center is always clean, bright and full of life!

I absolutely love this daycare! They create a warm, family-like atmosphere while maintaining professionalism. My son has been going here for years, and I have no complaints at all. You know it's a fantastic daycare when your child doesn’t want to leave at pick-up time! Shout out to the director, Chantel specifically who my child LOVES.

I do not recommend bright minds daycare. When I chose this daycare as a first time parent for my 18 month old son, I chose it based on reviews, and information I was given during my tour. I saw a lot of emphasis on slow transitions into the daycare and between rooms. Unfortunately, that was far from my experience. I felt I was not listened to in the early days about how to best transition my son into daycare and ensure that I had some time to signal to him that it was a safe space and these were trusted people. They didn't want me to spend time there at the beginning of the day, rather they wanted me to drop him for short time periods and build up. This didn't work and my son remained distressed. I suggested spending 30 minutes at the end of the day in the room with my son so he could learn it was a safe space and we wouldn't have the disruption of the morning drop off. I was told that I was undermining teachers and not to spend that time there. Ultimately we had to go down to three days a week because he couldn't handle it. When it was time to transition to the toddler room, I was told he would be given chances to get used to it before officially switching. He spent time in there twice, both of which he was rather upset, once that I witnessed personally. The staff member said he wouldn't let her pick him up so he was left alone sobbing at the door to his old room. Despite this, he was switched to the new room and he struggled with that transition. When questioned, they just said they don't always have time or staff to support slower transitions. In general I found that staff seemed overworked and under supported. They have high staff turnover. It appeared to me that all cleaning was the responsibility of the care staff, which caused children to be ignored too often. The children frequently skipped outdoor time despite nice weather for various reasons that were, in my opinion, solvable. When it got really cold I decided to breastfeed my son in the baby room at pick up, and the daycare director felt it was appropriate to tell me that I was making both staff and parents uncomfortable, and that they had no where to breastfeed. I thought this was very inappropriate (you are legally allowed to breastfeed anywhere you and your child are allowed to be in Canada) and stated this. They highlighted that it was rude of me not to take the other people's comfort into considerations. Note that at no point was it mentioned that there was an issue for the other babies (there was lots of space and I sat away from where the kid group was). Then they tried to cite privacy reasons which is nonsense, because no one has privacy for conversations at pick up and those conversations need to be held in the office. In general I felt that my ability to discuss details about my specific child and his needs were dismissed. I got the impression that I was waved off for being a first time, and breastfeeding mom (still being "very attached"). I did not feel the director had a good understanding of child psychology, and seemed dismissive of children's distress like it was just par for the course. They provide snacks which are about 50% ultra-processed food. My son was fed and changed and did eventually find a level of comfort to play and engage, but in general we decided we did not trust the daycare to deal with any issues that required any sensitivity, or any child-specific issues that may arise. Therefore we opted to leave the daycare. I have since heard that the person who owns this centre owns many and that there are similar problems at all of them. Choosing a daycare is challenging because you only have what the director tells you to go by. I highly recommend trying to find other parents experiences, or even previous staff when you are trying to vet a daycare. What a trying experience.

I have used Bright Minds Daycare and OSC for the last two years now. My youngest started in the baby room when she was 7 months old, and my other in the pre-k room. I was very skeptical at first as none of my kids have ever been in a daycare, or watched by someone who wasnt family. My older daughter adjusted quickly, falling in love with the atmosphere, her teachers and friends. She often asks me in the mornings if she can go to daycare instead of school.
My youngest daughter obviously took some time to adjust. The teachers were very hands on, caring and compassionate. They would hold and craddle my daughter while i left. Often if stand for a couple minutes outside the door where she couldnt see me, to make sure they were able to calm her in a timely manner and they always were. She has since transitioned to the toddler room, where the director focused on short transition days where she would spend time in both rooms, and days where she stayed in the baby room if she was having a hard time with the toddlers. In totally it took a week to transition her to the toddler room, which allowed her to gain confidence throughout both rooms. My daughter is still clingy, and often still at drop off she will leave me, to go find and snuggle up to her workers while she watches me leave. Never once have i seen my baby turned down! My work hours are a bit unconventional, which leaves me to drop off and pickup my children at strange times, meaning im always popping by the daycare unannounced and getting to see ‘first hand’ how the daycare operates during the day. Children are always playing, yelling, dancing, reading. Problems are dealt with fast by teachers and the director. I really appreciate how the daycare and the staff have a ‘family vibe’ to them, and im so glad we picked bright minds! My daughters love it!

My preschooler and toddler started attending bright minds at the beginning of June. At first my toddler had a very hard time but the teachers went above and beyond to make my little one feel safe and comfortable. Today after being away for a week after only attending 10 days total my toddler gave me a hug and kiss and said bye mommy. They have a great time there. I couldn't be happier with my decision in bright minds.
They now both take their backpacks and run to the door as before it was a crying match.

My kids have been going here for over two years and we couldn't be happier with the choice we've made to have our kids here. It's clean and tidy, great teachers, and fun activities and space for kids to play.

Brightminds is such a great environment for my children to truly be who they are. They are learning, they are loved by all who are there. I am grateful for the teachers everyday.
