Stopped by with the missus to have food after spending an afternoon at Sylvan Lake. The Lakeshore strip can get busy, and finding a restaurant can get challenging during the busy season (summers).

Being extremely hungry, we decided to order food even though there was grime on the table. You can't expect cleanliness at this restaurant. We were served by Asher and informing him that the cup was dirty in which water was served. I requested a clean cup with cold water, but the request was never fulfilled.

We ordered Buks Babe Lemonade, BBQ Hot Wings, Spicy Chicken Taco Salad, and Philly Chicken Skillet. The food was served 50 minutes after the order was taken. It is fair to say that the service was beggarly poor. The cocktail tasted like cough syrup and had the minutest amount of alcohol in it. The Philly Chicken Skillet had no seasoning, and in the Spicy Chicken Taco Salad, instead of Tacos, they served Doritos in the salad. The saving grace was the BBQ Hot Wings, which tasted sumptuous.

The view from the patio is stunning. If your priority is good food and service, skip this place.

LOVE ❣️ this place. Excellent eats. (Happened to catch wings night); the cauliflower "wings" were quite delightful. And pared nicely with my malbec. Our wait staff were attentive and oh-so-friendly. A new FAV spot in Sylvan. 💖 👋🏼

We had wings, curly fries and a highball. The highball and fries tasted pretty good but the wings were a 2/5 :/ it was too fatty and we didn't like it that much. Server was nice and friendly. There is a pretty decent view of the sylvan lake from this restaurant. Would go there for drinks again 🙂

My fiancé and I went to Buks for our First time and we had the best service ever like we ordered our drinks and food, even the chef came out to see us and greeted us and the waitress was absolutely amazing, the chef rewarded us with a free dessert on the house and just felt so treated well and friendly service and people were amazing. If I could give this Rating 100 stars or more I would.

Thank you and we will be back again

We try to come at least once a week, they have the best food and the best service! Their steak sandwiches are to die for! By far the best around! We always have the best servers, usually it's Chelsey and she's amazing! Today we had Kristen and she was so good! She catered to us and was super friendly, food was amazing, we opted in for something new, (smoked duck flatbread....super good and my husband had the steak skillet) he loved it! Highly recommend!

Saturday night, Sylvan Lake Lakeshore Drive, lots of people. Three of us went to Bukz at 8:30 for dinner. Lots of empty tables inside and out. We were met at the door and quite firmly told we could not come in and eat, but to go away and come back later, at least half an hour. No suggestion that we sit at the bar and have a drink while we waited. Not sure what was going on. Went somewhere else for steak dinners. No rush to go back.

Tried the boar and candied bacon burger. Thought the meal was a bit pricey when I ordered, but completely understood why when my food arrived. It was absolutely delicious. I'll definitely be back.

Dog friendly patio with excellent pub fare. The coconut prawn tacos with mango salsa were excellent with just enough bite from the chillies. Limited selection of beers. Great way to spend afternoon on a patio.
