We have our 6 year old daughter in the class for the last few months and she seems to be enjoying it. Reet was very nice and helpful since day 1 and was very willing to explain all about coding which was a completely new thing for me. I like all the progress reports that are posted at the end of each class and there seems to be lots of help available should a child need some extra support. As Reet says, "coding is the language of the future" and so I think it's important for kids to stick with this so they can build their character like how to persevere as well as the practical skills which will be gold in their future.

Thank you to the lovely staff at Code Ninjas for putting on a great birthday party for my kiddo. The kids had a great time, learned some coding, circuitry, LEGO, dancing, and so much more. Highly recommend having a birthday at this place in Chestermere!

I was so disappointed in Code Ninjas in Chestermere. I had signed my son up for a five day morning camp. On Monday and Tuesday, when I came to pick up my son, he was watching a movie both days. When I asked him at home what he had learned, he said nothing. In fact, on the Tuesday, the instructor was running between two camps, leaving the kids to fend for themselves. I called on Tuesday evening asking to have my son pulled out and get a refund for the remainder of the camp. It seemed more like a babysitting service, something I was not in need of. When I spoke with the owner of that location, Minnie, she was so rude. In fact, she raised the question “what do you expect a ten year old to learn here”. While I wasn’t expecting a coding genius, I was expecting he be learning something. She refused to give a refund and didn’t seem to care about my concerns.

The next morning, the director of Code Ninjas was there and she assured me that my experience was something they would correct. She offered to give me a refund for Monday and Tuesday but said that she would impress me to the point that I would want my kid to come on a regular basis. There was a new instructor and the day went well. Lo and behold, my ten year old did code something. I left feeling optimistic for the rest of the week.

On Thursday, the initial instructor was there and no sign of the director. The instructor seemed to think it was appropriate to ask my son why he shared things with his mom about not learning anything. Let me reiterate. An adult told a child it was not okay to share something with their parent. No way is this EVER okay.

On Friday, the director was there again hoping to sign my son up for another few days in compensation for the first two days. After the previous encounter, I decided that I would prefer to get a refund like she had offered for the two days of babysitting. She spoke with the owner who would not honor it. In fact, the owner refused to speak to me and pawned it off on the employee to deal with. This is the management at Code Ninjas in Chestermere. They also own the West Springs location.

I’m so disappointed in the camp and the company. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. Save your time and hard earned money.
