What a wonderful surprise in the heart of small-town Alberta!

Crown and Crow Coffee is more than just a place to grab a cup—it’s a thoughtfully curated space that celebrates community, history, and hospitality. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted not only by the warm aroma of high-quality coffee, but also by a mini-museum that tells the story of Bassano. The artifacts are beautifully displayed—clean, preserved, and clearly loved—which gives the café a quiet sense of purpose and pride in rural roots.

The coffee? Excellent. Smooth, rich, and thoughtfully prepared. It’s evident that care goes into every detail, from the beans they serve to the smiles behind the counter. The ladies working were kind, welcoming, and made our stop feel personal.

We did purchase two lemonades, and while they were served with a smile, we were hoping they might be freshly made. That part was a bit disappointing—but to be fair, I should have asked beforehand. It didn’t take away from the overall charm and hospitality of the visit.

Whether you’re passing through on Highway 1 or intentionally taking the scenic route—this is a must-stop. Great coffee, local heritage, and sincere service… what more could you ask for?

Crown & Crow is such a gem in Bassano! The staff are always so friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit a great experience. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, and you can really taste the care that goes into it. And the cake—absolutely the best! Whether you’re stopping in for a quick coffee or a bite to eat, this place always hits the spot. Highly recommend!

My colleague and I passed by the town of Bassano on our way back to Calgary. Hungry, Crown+Crow Coffee caught our eyes. We were served with delicious sandwiches and refreshing lemonade. Love the history of the building they are in. Love the ambiance.

We needed a coffee on our way to Medicine Hat so we stopped here after reading the google reviews 5 star rating. We were not disappointed!

Cute little place with a lot of charm.

I had a caramel machiatto or whatever it's called, it was very tasty. My partner had the cold version and enjoyed hers as well.

The staff were very friendly and service was fast. Busy little place, even the customers seemed friendly.

Definitely recommend this little gem just off the TransCanada hwy.

Love this cozy little coffee shop! Great atmosphere. The owner, Lana, is so sweet. A little treasure hidden in Bassano, AB. Just delightful!

Charming little coffee shop! With a kid friendly menu. Seasonal features. We loved our London fog and Kentucky butter cake. Will definitely be stopping in again looking forward to seeing what they come up with in the fall a pumpkin white, hot chocolate would be really cool
