Fantastic experience at D&A, coming in for my first eye exam in quite a while. They had to change my appointment time due to one of the doctors being sick, but called first thing in the morning, still got me in the same day, all communication with the office was friendly, polite and prompt. Just as good or better when I arrived, friendly, helpful staff, got me in right on time and did everything they could to help make the appointment quicker. Dr. Phillips was terrific: super friendly, very informative, professional, and obviously wants the best experience and outcome for his patients. All in all a great visit, easily the best experience I’ve had at an optometrist. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic business. The optometrist is very thorough and informative. I like that they now sell glasses too. So I got my prescription and bought a pair of glasses all at the same place and within an hour. The lady who helped me pick out some frames was so lovely and kind. I'm not very good at knowing what looks good on me; my ex used to help me choose glasses when we were married. I felt a bit lost but this lady helped me select a few frames then she and another lady gave me their opinions and helped me choose the best pair based on fit, comfortability and aesthetics. The whole process was SO easy and streamlined. I always look forward to my annual eye exam with D&A and I love their new building!

Dr. Phillips is so knowledgeable, I've worn glasses for over 25 years and he taught me new things about my eyes and took the time to explain everything to me. The staff is super helpful and friendly, they even helped look after my busy 2 year while I got my exam. Highly recommend!

Dr Darren Phillips & his staff are awesome! Always a pleasant atmosphere…they really love what they do helping people.

Dr Darren is very thorough and explains what is going on with your vision in terms you can understand. When it warrants serious concern he follows up.

The front desk staff work with you to get the best available opening for your needs (including being on a cancellation list) & notifications are prompt. Efficiently getting your information & pre-exam work done when you arrive.

The dispensary staff try their hardest to help you through the fitting process after (which is not an easy task as we’re not all a one size fits most).

The location is still easy to access on the East side of town (can come in on Hwy 16 from either direction; or take the ring road around, which is also accesible off Hwy 17 North or South and avoid a lot of traffic) with sufficient parking.

I came back to Lloydminster to visit family and friends. I started having issues with my eyes and went into see Dr Phillips. He was extremely kind, competent and diligent quickly realizing my issue was a detached retina. He explained what was happening, and what I needed. He went above and beyond making the necessary calls to have me booked into the West Coast Retina Consultants in Vancouver the next day for a consultation and same day surgery.

I went back to Vancouver to begin treatment , Dr Phillips called me 2 days later to check on me to make sure I was receiving the necessary treatment I needed.

I am so impressed with his commitment to taking care of his patients, his skill sets and his compassion. We need more people like
Dr Phillips in our medical system and I highly recommend him.
