Just took my new to me truck in there for a purchase inspection (to ensure nothing was wrong with the truck). Was quote an hour, was charged an hour.

They took the time to explain things they noticed and included pictures and answered all questions.

Pleasant staff, work was done in a timely manner.

Based on my first experience with them, I would recommend them.

If you consider charging $930 for a safety on a 2020 Mercedes Sprinter motor home then this place is for you. To be fair Doug did discover a broken shock bolt during the safety then charged two hours labour to replace it, which he initially claimed would take half an hour. The bolt had to be ordered, the cost of which I agreed to cover. The sprinter sat in his yard for four days waiting for this ‘courier’ delivered part. So by all means patronize this business, just watch your wallet if you do or better yet go elsewhere.

My Wife and I both use Doug's Automotive for general things like switching out our tires for winter to maintenance issues. The staff at this location are very good at what they do and never try to sell you work that isn't needed.

Always good to get you back into your vehicle quickly and on your way. I love the fact that they respect our vehicles by covering up the seats and floors to keep them from getting dirty.

Thank you all at Doug's for providing the town of Renfrew with a trustworthy place for auto service.

Our second time getting work done, they let us bring our vehicle in earlier then our scheduled appointment when things got worse and had the problem diagnosed earlier then that original appt. Doug explained what was wrong and how much it would cost in a friendly and easy to understand way for a non car type. His outlined time for completion was right on schedule and the repair is top notch. Thanks to all the staff who made the experience easy and fast.none of us want to have to get car repairs but this shop makes the process as painless as it can be while making you feel confident you're getting done what needs to be done.

Doug and the crew saved me again! The office is so nice when I call with my please tell me you have time!! I lost a brakeline and was in a desprate state. I called first thing in the morning and they said bring it in! They are super busy, and yet everytime my old girl, Tuscon, decides its time to replace the original parts, they fit me in. I am so grateful. I highly recommend their services, not only do they offer great service, they have reasonable prices too.

Worst experience ever . !!People be aware !! DO NOT BRING YOUR Vehicle to them period . If you want to empty your bank accounts and deal with crook mechanic , go ahead . Story began when I brought my diesel van to them. They sweet talked to me and refused to let me pay for towing. Doug ( the owner) promised to drop his rate from $110/ hour to $90/ hour and fix the problem since he is a diesel engines expert . He provided an estimate and flexible payments plan for 3 months so I said lets do it .Everything seemed normal. A week later, Doug called to informed me that the van goes into limp mode and don't know why . And they can't fix it . They replaced the transmission and still the van wasn't fixed . Then, I got the bill which was higher than the estimate that I got. Guess what, Michelle ( Doug's wife ) requested a full payment in order to release my van . That wasn't what we agreed !!!!! she threatened with calls and emails If they don't receive full payment within the next 3 days they will apply a $65 / day storage fees INCLUDING Weekends . I tried to call and speak with Doug since he gave his words but every time I call , his wife ( Michelle) will find an excuse. Doug never returned my calls and I could hear him whispering to his wife when I called . I had no choice but to scramble and borrow money from my friends and go get my broken van. The estimate was $4500 and I paid over $5311. My van is getting towed now to another honest mechanic and I'm hiring a lawyer to get my money back. This is my story people .

I was fortunate enough to find Doug's Auto Solutions in Renfrew, when the check engine light came on, on my 2009 Ford truck, for the third time.
Other garages had looked at it and recommended a costly repair of changing two of my oxygen sensors. Doug looked at it, and hooked up some equipment that I had not seen in other garages, and apparently was connected directly to Ford, and within 15 minutes had told me that he could fix the problem for a MUCH lower figure. And it would be fast. I told him to go ahead, and within a half hour, I had my truck back, with a guarantee, and was on my way. That was over a year ago. The light has never come back on, my fuel mileage has improved a b it. I have waited this long just to make sure, and now I am. If I am ever up in the Renfrew area again, I will certainly stop in to Doug's again, and tell him just how good he is, and how much I appreciated his good and honest service.

We broke down on highway 17 at the Renfrew exit on day 1 of vacation. Doug came up on our Google search for a Renfrew mechanic. We chose him based on a good Google review. He was fantastic! He took our car right away and scanned it when we arrived. Even gave our little guy some ice cream while we waited on a crazy hot day. Excellent customer service! All the staff were kind and helpful! Highly recommended!
