I had my hair done this Wednesday by Amanda, she is a sweetie pie and so lovely to talk to. I had gotten a small cut and highlights done but the highlights didn't turn out the exact colour I wanted so I called essentials and asked if she wouldn't mind touching them up. She gladly had me in today and did an AMAZING job, I love the colour and the look so much! I 100% recommend, they are so friendly and nice and a special shoutout to Amanda who took the time to give me a fabulous hair-do❤️

Amanda is amazing. She has been doing my hair for years and I couldn’t be happier. The salon is clean, love the recent updates. Everyone who works there is lovely and treats all clients with respect. I give a 10/10 for every experience I have had at Hair Essentials.

Took my daughter for an up due which took 15min I paid $78 for it. She had a picture and wanted it curled. I had concerns that the curls wouldn’t stay because the stylist brushed them out but I was assured that they would. 2hours later all the curls have fallen out. I called to see if I could bring her back in to get it touched up with 4-5 curls maybe 3 minutes of time. The first girl I spoke to said they couldn’t they were all booked I was polite and simply asked to speak to an adult never raised my voice never swore just simply stated I was disappointed. And quite frankly shocked that customer service wasn’t on their mind and that 3 min was not worth their time to make a customer happy. The adult that got on after was rude right off the cuff and although she said I could bring her back she made it clear that she would be sitting waiting until she was done everything she had to do for the day and certainly wouldn’t be ready in time for her graduation. I am simply shocked by the lack of customer service and disappointed as I thought I’d found a good salon and will now never go there again. Yes it’s hot out but she’s been in air conditioned house for the past 2 hours her hair should not have all fallen out and I specifically asked the stylist earlier about it and was told they’d be fine.

Kat is a wonderful stylist, with an impeccable eye for detail. She has been working on my hair for years and is very good at communicating what is possible and needed to get the exact look I want. She works very well at Hair Essentials. It is a clean, beautifully open and well lit space. Very welcoming and well equipped. The staff present while I had my treatments were friendly and warm. I had my hair trimmed, lightened and coloured, washed and treated and am extremely happy with the results. I will definitely be seeing Kat again at Hair Essentials.

I’ve been here twice now to see a new stylist in training Maggie. She is absolutely lovely and extremely talented at her job. I have been nervous to get my hair cut because every time I go I end up with much more than I expected cut off. She was so caring and cautious after me sharing this with her and checked in with me multiple times on the length. The second time I had highlights done as well and once again she checked in with me multiple times to confirm what I wanted. This time we did a bit more of a cut to get things cleaned up a little better as I had gone way to long in the first place with out a cut. She did a great job styling as well after the cut and added in really nice curls/waves. I totally trusted her advice while still keeping as much length as possible. On top of that all she was very upbeat and easy to chat with.

Oh! And they are honest about whether or not some styles will look good or not. I love that!!
