Sometimes small things can meet a lot, especially in the world of jewellery with many items being hand me downs, heirlooms, or gifts, and I had recently had my watch poorly serviced by a jewellery shop elsewhere, which resulted in taking on water and this is a watch I never take off so it goes with me in the lake in the hot tub in the shower you name it. From the start these folks were very inviting and very pleasant and I recognize they had a bench which meant they probably had a real jeweller or even a watchmaker rather than just having the retail staff doing battery replacements so I explain my predicament and how my prize watch was wet inside and running erratically after a battery replacement ….. picked it up the next day and it was running and had been clean thoroughly and I got the explanation that the back had been screwed back on only finger tightby the previous jewellery store so I’m very grateful for a shop like this that still provides professional service and a smile. Those are the simple things but this time they were very important.

Do not go here for fine jewellery repair.
I brought my engagement ring here because one of the claws was catching and the diamond had become loose.
I asked them to call me before any work was done to it. I waited a week and I was the one to call to follow up. It turns out he already did the tightening. When I picked it up he mentioned that he also "filed" my claws. The prongs used to look more pear shaped at the tips. I was a bit annoyed because he didn't ask before he did it but if they were going to prevent it from catching that was fine.
However the next day it was still catching and the diamond was still a bit loose. I brought it back to him and he said he would only have it for ONE day to do a little bit more tightening.
2 WEEKS LATER and 3 follow up phone calls where I wasn't told anything OR asked for any consent prior to the work. I get it back and he had added white gold to my platinum ring so he could "rebuild" the prongs. Suffice to say this jeweller doesn't respect the customer or the jewellery. I would never come here again and I urge you not to.
Now I have to pay $500 to get my ring rebuilt properly.
At some point, just admit that you can't fix it instead of butchering the whole thing.

My fiancee and I went in to get her ring resized. They said it would be done in about 5 days, we got a call the next day to come and pick it up! We were so happy with the work - it looks perfect! It was nice to have so quickly, always hard to leave your ring behind after being newly engaged.

I went in to get a watch battery replaced (which was quick). I realize 10 minutes later that wasn't the real problem, so I brought it back in. The second hand was catching on the minute hand (I'd recently dropped the watch and I guess one of the hands bent slightly).
They had it fixed in one day, and told me there was NO CHARGE for that repair because it was a simple fix!

My boyfriend purchased a necklace and earring set for me as a gift and we have had to return the necklace twice for repair in a very short time. Both times they held on to it for over a month and never called to let us know it was fixed or ready for pick up. Continually following up and doing drop by visits is unacceptable customer service. Paying over $500 for jewellery and not being properly cared for as long term repeat client is so disappointing. We will not shop here again.

I was visiting Kincardine for the summer and broke a post on an earring. Gemini repaired it quickly. I asked about another set of earrings I had, that were pearl and gold, which had been stored with some costume stuff and became tarnished. I am so happy with the results. They were cleaned, really restored - like new. Plus, they had replacement butterfly backs which they sold for the same price as Amazon.ca. Can't beat it.

The owner fixed my watchband and there was charge. He said he was hoping that I would buy something expensive, like a diamond ring. Not very likely.
