We were recommended this place for lunch. Sounds like it’s THE spot of the town. The decor is pretty cool. It’s got a lot of downtown Vancouver memorabilia with an underground vibe.

We waited a while for service as employees were running around doing something. Finally a lady came up and wasn’t very friendly while taking the order.

I got a lasagna and one of their apple tarts. The lasagna was delicious. Could tell it was made in house as stated on the menu. The portion was big and enough for two meals.
The apple tart was very fresh. It resembled a small muffin, which made it a perfect portion size.

I would come back if I pass through Quesnel again.

Last time I was at this place we had the lasagna. It was the best thing we ever ate. Considering my husband is Italian and he liked it too. It is a must try.

This was THE BEST Eggs Benny I’ve EVER HAD!!! The bun had a delicious crisp while still tasting fresh and buttery, the eggs were cooked to the perfection, and the sauce was so good it took everything in me not to like my plate clean like a feral animal.

The pastries are DIVINE. My personal favorite is the Strawberry Rhubarb Tart, but their brown sugar tarts are also delicious.

THE COFFEE: I had a Caramel Macchiato which was amazing but my grandma had the German Mocha. I am not exaggerating when I tell you my soul ascended trying this mocha.

I truly wish I could bring this whole cafe to anywhere I lived, but that’s what makes places like this special. The community and the people are so kind as well. Thank you for everything and we will be sure to stop by anytime we are passing through!

Absolutes muss in Quesnel. Ein original sollte man gesehen haben. Beliebt nicht nur bei den einheimischen. Es gibt keine Bestellung am Tisch, order am Counter , essen wird gebracht oder ausgerufen. Wir waren zum Frühstück hier hatten Glück und bekamen noch einen Tisch. Frühstück war super. Personal obwohl sehr gut ausgelastet super freundlich.

Sehr stylisches Restaurant, allerdings ist das Essen leider nicht so toll. Mein Sandwich war total fettig und ungeniesbar (denke, es war in der Microwelle, da der Käse total aufgelöst ist). War leider der Zweite Versuch nachdem ich das erste schon reklamiert hatte. Das Chillie war gut, aber auch nichts besonderes..

An AMAZING stop, especially for cyclists! The owner was so kind and has done several rides to Mexico. Made us feel so welcome and got us all fed and caffeinated. Great food and coffee at really solid prices. We can see why it’s a staple in the community! Outdoor patio was really lovely as well. Thank you!!!

The lines are long and slow moving. Customers stand in line for 5 minutes and then have no clue what they want to order. Skill testing questions are asked like: how do you want your eggs? Do you want coffee? The same people act surprised when they are given their total to pay. Lots of screaming children on the weekends. Great place to loiter, 20 minutes for eggs and toast.
