When I stepped into the Grit City, I had a Thelma & Louise in their better days moment. It has a classy, funky, fun & curious feel to it, all in one place. The diversity of the drinks and kitchen freshly made food alike. Thelma and Louise certainly would have made the Grit City their favourite hangout place!

Trivia, horseshoe throwing, master classes in mixology, music, mystery solving lure one into childhood playdates where win or lose, right or wrong not really mattered. It’s the togetherness, the sheer joy of the experience.

The stunning servers know who ordered what, accurately fast, exchange smiles & kind words, readying for the next rounds.

The starlit sky through the windows and guitar players add nostalgia - promises to be back soon, for hanging out with newly acquired and matured like whiskey friends.

Grit City feels like a movie where everyone has been casted for a role in an ongoing narrative of distilling and tasting unfolding.

A proud gem of the Hatters and a must stop for tourists and visitors. A standing ovation for Jen Schmunk and her team.

I attended my company Christmas Party at Grit City last night and it was the best experience!! The food was amazing, the drinks were maybe too good, and the TRIVIA was top notch!! The hosts were so interactive, entertaining and hilarious! It was beyond fun. I want to go to every trivia night now. If you have never been, go. If you have been, go more! Thanks to the entire staff and all involved for being the perfect hosts. PS, staff, ask for Dani next time you need a vehicle, you know where I am 😜. I was the one looking like an (awkward) figure skating peacock in my sequin dress. 😂

You know how they say, when you go somewhere to eat, you shouldn't order a fish dish from the pizza place? Well, I would say don't order food from a distillery. They tried. It looked delicious, smelled great, but my husband had never had a tougher (cold) sirloin until he tried a bite of mine.
The pina colada fish bowl was decent, except for the two full glasses of ice that we had to scoop out, so it wouldn't water it down so much.
But I was glad to see that they were supporting the local hot air balloon event. This was the reason we went. And our server was terrific.

Very comfortable booth & 4 of us enjoyed a delicious lunch. Excellent concept restaurant with many original items for purchase & gifting. Drinks included Smokey Cherry Old Fashioned,
2 Forbidden Fruit Gin & Tonic & a Root Beer Paralyzer. Entrees included the recommended Mini Yorkshire Sliders, Boursin & Bacon Burger, Grilled Caesar Salad w Chicken. Great atmosphere & manager Des provides excellent service. We shall return should the opportunity present itself & we're back in The Hat.

I went for lunch & got a flight of four of Grit City's spirits. The food & the drinks went beyond my expectations! The kimchi dog was unusual & delicious, & I enjoyed the whisky & the signature gin.
One thing that could have made the experience better is the choice of music. I didn't want my mother & I to have to sit & listen to hip-hop that sounded like it was written by high school dropouts smoking PCP. Put on Wild 94.5 & make the music match the decor!

Eye catching layout and decor with delicious food at the right prices. I would recommend anyone looking for a regular watering hole to schedule a visit to Grit City.

Everything on the menu has impressed, and the service from the team at Grit City never disappoints.

They are true to their name and distill several of the liquors and liqueurs offered in house. Ask about cocktails featuring their own creations.
