I have enjoyed a good dental hygienist at Honeycomb dental every 6 months for a few years. The rate has gone up at a reasonable rate over that time and was costing me about $106 (two units, no polishing) just before the dental plan. The first time after the plan was implemented I was required to pay the extra $6 not covered. In January when I went a month early (after 5 months, as I was going to be away) all of a sudden the bill was $165 with $100 being covered as before. No difference on what was done, teeth no worse, but they stated it was 3 units because they took longer, so extra $59 for me to pay. I did not ask for any extra care of any kind, just the usual. If they want to spend extra time checking our neck or mouth or writing things down or moving more slowly, that should be on them not me. I likely should have confirmed that it would be the same cost as previously before going ahead. I know I am still paying less than before the plan was implemented, but what’s the point of the plan if the dental clinics just make sure to take in more and scoop more from the customer. I accidentally left the office without paying my $106. I called later to see what the bill was and found out that it was $165, and so I just left it for now (and then forgot about it..I am in my 70s that’s my excuse.. haha.., no bill was ever sent) as I was very unhappy with that, and they would have collected the $100 from the plan.
Yesterday they called and asked me to pay the bill that they would be sending. I told them that I was unhappy with that amount because I had not asked for any extra work and that they could send me the bill, but I didn’t know if I was going pay the whole thing. Today I got a call from a collection agency in Saskatoon saying that I needed to pay the $65 or it would go against my credit rating. As a single person I do need a good credit rating, so I did pay the $65.
I guess I need to look elsewhere. I guess now anyone on the plan needs to confirm cost prior to work being done.

Great facility and awesome staff! I go here once a month and the staff make you very comfortable while they do the work they need not to mention the great music they play while going through procedures. I would definitely encourage members to get dental work done here. They make the work hassle free and very informed, also love the new text service for appointments. Keep up the great work Tisdale Dental Hygiene & Doghide Dental Clinic!

Hands down the best dentist I have ever come across! Such a friendly, caring office! Every single staff member there that I have met, have been just amazing, friendly, and professional! I had a horrible tooth ache for a while and Dr Mathur and his staff refused to give up and kept on looking for what was giving me so much pain. I saw specialists and in the end it was Dr Mathur who found the issue and solved it! I've really developed a good friendship with the staff now, as they made me feel comfortable and I can tell they genuinely care and love their patients! Because of my husbands job, we have to move fairly often. I would absolutely commute for this dentist!!
