We spent our family reunion here for the Easter long weekend and had an amazing time. Our stay was better than expected with everything you can think of. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub, bonfire, theatre room downstairs and the kids loved having the entire upstairs to themselves. The Alexa speaker all around the house was an added bonus. We cannot thank you enough for the accommodation. We would love to come back & create more memories with our family in the near future.

We love this cottage. This is the 2nd year in a row that my family has come up and stayed. The location is absolute perfection. The cottage is really lovely. There's lots of room & it's well stocked. This place has everything you need. There are bikes & kayaks for the beautiful days and lots to do inside if you have a rainy day as well. It's also a short walk/bike or drive to The Square.

Any issues or questions are responded to quickly and the owners are great to deal with.

Perfect location and the house is exactly as described. We (my 82 y.o. mother, my sister and my niece) spent a few nights in April for my sister's 50th and had an absolutely lovely stay. Zac is an excellent host: very professional, friendly and accommodating.
As mentioned by other reviewers, the sunset views from the house were truly spectacular!

We had a girls weekend at MacArthur Park and it was amazing from start to finish. We had seen photos but they did not do justice to how gorgeous this cottage was. We stayed from May 13-15 and it ended up being 30 degree weather the whole weekend. Being steps away from the beach, we felt like we were down south. I loved how there were so many bedrooms with large king and queen bed options. Everyone was so comfortable, and Felt like there was lots of room for all 12 of us. The overall consensus when we were leaving was that we all wanted to book here again! Thank you Zac for being so accommodating with my additional asks, it made everything less stressful and very relaxing.

Full disclosure I am related to owners and had the pleasure of a week Sept 12-19. It was fabulous !!! Steps to the beach and I could take my dog to the beach to play stick in the water every day . Mid Sept and I swam every day . Sat out on the deck every evening till close to midnight . Hot tub on the deck and enjoyed a full moon experience . Main Street Bayfield was wonderful for shops , happy hours , restaurant experiences. Wish I was there this week to enjoy the Art festival happening in Main Street. Invited distant relatives who were thrilled to enjoy a couple days in what they described as a retreat for them . If you arnt able to do a summer stay then definitely consider off season . You won’t be sorry .

We were wanting a break from working online in the city and MacArthur’s was a beautiful escape.

Even though it was a bitterly cold time of year, the views of water and the ice forming on it were amazing. Each time I walked through the main area, I was in awe. I felt so peaceful.

The lake and wind are a bit noisy at this time of year and you could hear it when you’re in the lakefront upstairs bedroom however some earplugs and white noise drowned it out for sleeping. The noise was not an issue in any other part of the house.

It was truly a wonderful escape and I was sad to leave. Looking forward to my next chance to stay at MacArthur Park Cottage
