This review was originally a 1 star, but Netset resolved the issue in a very timely manner. Plus they compensated me with 100 gigs of free data for the month, without me having to ask. What really impressed me was that they were more than willing to cover any NSF fees or penalties, if there were any. I will continue to do business with them in the future.

I haven't had problems with Netset until Xplornet bought them out. The latest issue I've had with them is. I woke up this morning and noticed that they took a second payment out of my bank account. They took the first one as expected on Oct 31 2018 and they took the same amount out last night $217. I switched to Netset last summer from Xplornet, because they tried charging me for service work that never happened. Then refused to refund my money. So I filed a complaint to the better business bureau and won my case. Now I am experiencing the same kind of thievery, by them wrongfully taking money from my bank account.

I have VISP for 10 years, fantastic, we moved had to get a different provider.
Now in Month 2 with Net Set. I'm convinced that I am being throttled as well. Definitely not getting what I am paying for. There are only two people in the house, constantly losing service, down loading time way too long, if at all. I'll be looking for another provider immediately.
I would NOT recommend Net Set to anyone.

very disappointed in the quality of the download and upload speeds in the evening. Have phoned in a few times to complain but the answer is always the same. Never do they say "we will find a solution" and actually come up with one. Its always "well the more users that are on the system the slower it gets". Not really an appropriate response. I pay for certain upload and download speeds and I expect close to that, not 50%. Maybe i should only pay 50% of my bill. Also Maybe come up with a solution that allows for many users at the same time. I have had the system go completely down 3 times in 6 months. seems too frequent for me. Phoned in the last time and was told that that amount of downtime is completely normal and that it was a tower issue on their part and my system would have to be reset. Simple to do that myself but why don't they send out a text to all users (which they have no problem doing when there is a bill to pay) that there were tower issues and a reset is in order. How am I suppose to know that the tower had issues. Wish there was another option but there is not so I am stuck. Good luck to whoever decides to sign up.

i was told a manager would call me with regards to my concerns, but it would take 3 business days. 7 business days later i am still awaiting the call.

fraud if i could give zero stars i would. they have tried to rip us off 3 times always with an excuse on why they cannot provide what they promise but we they can always provide an alternative a a greatly higher price. they will promise you the world to get an installer out to your place but then when it comes to the package its amazing how the promised package is no longer available but there is always a higher priced alternative. beware!

We have been with them for the better part of a year because they are the only Internet provider where we live.

Recently we decided we'd be better off without internet because of the ridiculous costs and the little bit of Internet that we get for it. I would have very little issue paying $200+ a month for UNLIMITED Internet but not for some dinky 200 GB a month.

They've cut us off for being a couple days late for a payment and than threatening collections. We get paid monthly. Our bills don't usually get paid on the due date but they get paid before the end of the month usually.

I wouldn't recommend NetSet if they were the last providers on earth.

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY.

Initially I was very happy to find a solution due to the fact there's no one note worthy in my area for service providers. Found out about netset and had them set me up with their 24mbps package for about 180$ a month.

After the installer left I noticed that he had run the wire in the most noticeably obnoxious place possible on the house. Tried to have that resolved over a few weeks but no one returned calls or emails.

I then started noticing that the internet would randomly disconnect on me and the speeds were varying A LOT. I kept record of the dates and kept trying to contact them to inform them of the issue and finally someone contacted me, but informed me they only credit accounts if your service is out for more than 14 days I believe it was (this was later discredited by another employee). They offered no solution to the internet going out.

It continued going out, and I called to cancel one day. They said not to cancel yet, that they'd look into it. They came up with a solution and told me I would receive a free month to test out the fixed up service. Although the disconnects stopped, the speed wasn't as good at the top end, and every night around 10pm the speeds would drop to the point that you couldn't stream Netflix.

I called again and they said they'd look into it. Nothing abnormal came up over a 24 hour investigation (lies) and they requested that I actually call one of their techs at 10 o'clock at night (when I'm usually in bed) to go over the speeds. I declined and said I'm done playing around with them. He said he put in a cancellation request and that someone would call me.

No one called me and I did not receive a free month, I was still charged. I called them after waiting a while to see if someone would call and was told that they'd credit my next month instead and I said I wanted to cancel. They confirmed that once I returned the equipment they'd refund what was supposed to be the free month and they also confirmed that the cancellation request was entered and also confirmed that the technician was lying and that at 10 the speeds were dropping A LOT.

I then worked for a week and this week was going to return the equipment. Alas I look at my bank account and they took ANOTHER MONTH OUT. I call and they say it's not cancelled until you return your equipment. BULL. WHAT'S THE POINT OF CANCELLING IF IT'S NOT CANCELLED? HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO USE UP THE REST OF YOUR MONTH IF YOU HAVE TO RETURN YOUR EQUIPMENT BEFORE THE MONTH IS UP TO AVOID GETTING CHARGED AGAIN?

OH DID I MENTION THEY MAKE YOU GET THE EQUIPMEMT OFF OF YOUR ROOF OR CHARGE YOU 100$ TO SEND SOMEONE OUT TO DO IT?

Do not deal with these crooks. They now have 360$ of mine held for ransom. They should not be allowed to operate. I've never been so disgusted with the service I've received from a company.

I'm sure they'll charge me for the couple of days that I didn't realize the internet was still active because I assumed that once you cancel your internet... it's cancelled... and the hot spot on my phone is named the same as the router...

The timeline on this review is probably a bit skewed. But needless to say this is the jist of the situation.

So after 6 months of dropping speeds in high traffic hours, and I use my cell phone data 90% of the time since I can’t connect to wifi in my phone. It’s a farce over there, I left a VOICEMAIL one very early morning and gave specific instructions on when to call me back... guess what NOT A DAMN CALL CAME IN! I had to call them back and tell them YET AGAIN that I have basically no service where we live, tech MEN also tell me that everything looks fine on their end. So if it’s fine why is it NOT working?
I was finally put on with someone who would ACTUALLY LISTEN TO ME AND MY PROBLEMS for the first time since I became a customer. The nice man told me they would send me a new router free of charge( hopefully it is free) with ‘better’ setting set up than the one I had bought at Walmart. Well 3 days later and I have ABSOLUTELY NO INTERNET! Obviously they just like to run their customers around in circles and take their money laughing to the bank.
Very very greedy company.

The worst isp ever. Can’t watch 1/2 hour of Netflix on lowest download setting without stalling and buffering at least a dozen times. Called tech support 3 times in the last month only to get the usual excuses and an hour of reset this reset that. Then to be told there is to much traffic on the tower nothing we can do about it. If you’re thinking of signing up for netset LTE don’t do it you will be sorry. Will try to find a different Internet provider.
