For anyone considering solar for their home, trust me it’s going to take a lot of communication and there is alot to learn! Catlin, from Prairie Sun Solar, has been the perfect teacher for me. He answered a TON of my questions and helped me to have peace of mind. I know I’m writing this review early because I just decided today to for sure go with them and requested the paperwork to move forward, but out of all the companies that I talked to Prairie Sun has stood out, and after getting off the phone call saying I would be going with them, a big smile came across my face! I know some people review before, during, and after install , and even several years later to share how it’s all working out for them, but I wanted to share this review before any installation or yard visits have been done , after all the communication with Catlin I know I have chosen the right company for our home! My dad had wanted solar panels on his house for years and finally went ahead when he found out about the Greener Homes federal rebate program. It was great working with Catlin on this project. We had shopped around for a few quotes but Prairie Sun Solar was the only one that stuck out. We got a very quick response and Catlin worked with us to understand the benefits of solar not just for the short term, but for the long term as well; including any potential future upgrades such as solar charging for electric vehicles.

The whole process from start to finish was smooth and communication was great! Any questions or concerns we had was promptly addressed. The pricing was very competitive with other quotes we received, if not even better for the service we got! Catlin also worked with us around the Greener Homes program!

It's been about 3 months post installation, and we're already seeing some of the savings come in on our power bill, even during these winter months when we don't get too much sun. We've noticed the panels shed snow pretty well, even after large snow falls, so no need to manually clear them. We also love the mobile app that allows us to monitor the power generation from the panels! It's awesome being able to see how much energy we're generating and even be able to compare it weekly, monthly, and annually!

Trevor and Brenden at Prairie Sun Solar are, quite simply, the best you'll find anywhere. Trevor came out the very same day, and he was so professional, knowledgeable, competent, personable, and dedicated to fixing our problem -- which he did! My project was an annually energy-neutral system on a residential property in a rural municipality, something like 14-15000kwh. Prairie Sun Solar was very patient and worked with me through all steps including discovering solar options, questions and concerns, learning about the technology, planning for long term viability on my home and my roofing update options, planning for bi directional metering to input back into the grid, permits, install, follow-up, and inspection. I even have upgrade options for the future if I need. They helped me apply for available grants and answered all my grant questions as well. Truly an all-inclusive experience. Price was competitive. System works well. No safety concerns or challenges. Cleaned up after the job was complete. Friendly, responsive, professional team, knowledgeable, patient, and completed the work as arranged.
