We had our wedding this past weekend and Prime Catering did an amazing job! We had a vampire themed event that was a night to remember. Food was fantastically delicious! We had the prime rib buffet, and the quality exceeded our expectations. Service was professional and friendly, everything went smoothly during our reception. The vampire fang napkin rings worked out so well! Sage was an absolute gem to work with as well. She was patient and kind, making sure I covered all the details that I have forgotten (or didn't even think of). Prime Catering was 100% reliable in making sure my experience a positive one. Thank you so much for everything!

We worked with Sage for our wedding and she was so incredibly helpful and quick to answer any questions we had. Her experience was so very helpful in laying out all the options we had and what they would look like on our big day. She even came in to meet us on her day off when I messed up my schedule. 10/10

The food was amazing as well, we believe Prime Catering to be the best in Lethbridge, we had so many compliments from guests and more than a hand full of people let us know they ate too much.

Really Really special and worth every penny. Thanks to them for being a part of the best day of our lives so far.

Holy cow I don’t even know where to begin! Overall - amazing experience, can’t recommend these guys highly enough for your wedding. I had multiple guests comment on how smoothly everything went, and how great the food was (especially the teriyaki chicken - rave reviews!) They were also able to put together a “Midnight Brunch” for the midnight snack, which was amazing!
Besides the food itself we NEED to talk about the staff. In planning, I dealt with Lauren for the most part, and a little bit with Sage. Both of them were so helpful and accommodating and responsive. I was pretty high-strung, and they always were just like yup, sure, okay that’s fine.
No one had rented the space the day/night before, so they let us do setup that afternoon - which was a LIFESAVER because we hauled in so many little things, and I really wanted to be able to arrange a lot of the decor myself. They had pre-arranged everything on my floorplan inc. folding the napkins as requested. All we had to do was add the decorations! There was always somebody checking in to see if we needed anything (we decided we needed the cordless mic), and the bar manager (I’m sorry I forgot his name!) was really on it, making sure the signature drink recipes were good to go and the full-corkage alcohol was all set. They even cut up little orange rings to add an extra garnish for my Blue Hawaiians, AND brought in milk for the Groom’s Paralyzers so we didn’t have to go pick that up the day before.
The day-of, they had a list of which vendors were showing up (approximately) when, and everything seemed to go off without a hitch! Lights went up, flowers came in, cake got set up… by the time I rolled in at 4:30 to take a look at it before cocktail hour began at 5:00, everything was done and perfect.
We had the classic buffet (which was awesome) and there were immediately multiple servers out and about ready to collect empty glasses and plates, but I had a few people mention that they were like “ninjas,” you didn’t even notice them until they were there ready to take away your mess. Amber and the bar manager were there again throughout the night checking in and making sure everything was going according to plan. I also wanted to mention that they served cocktails in real glassware for the entire night - which I wasn’t expecting, and it just made things look so much classier than the ol’ solo cups lol.
We had a couple extra “visitors” try to show up (we were in Essie’s, and they were apparently hoping it was still a bar) and the staff was on top of that right away, as well.
The room itself was perfect for what I wanted - I was after an 80’s lounge feel, and the lack of windows was exactly what I needed to achieve that in mid-July. The white walls, mirrors, gold accents, and nice, plain flooring were a great backdrop, and the bathrooms being right there was so convenient. I also liked the black curtains behind the head table, and they found us a few black tablecloths to hide our stacks of bins and extra chairs that were delivered.
The sound system worked perfectly for all the announcements and speeches, and my brother and sister surprised me with a YouTube playlist (no audio, just video) of 80’s music videos playing on the TV’s during the dance hahaha.
There must have been a lot of power outlets, too, because I had extra uplights, table-spots, a cake that needed to be plugged in, and a dj. No issues!
The staff was also amazingly helpful with cleanup, gathering up all of their things, clustering most of our stuff that had been on the tables, and even gathering up all the extra, rented napkins and table runners and putting them back in a bin for LER. When we walked in the next morning it honestly felt like most of the work was already done!
So again, can’t recommend this place enough. Having the venue coordination and catering in-house was easy and convenient, and everyone involved was greatly helpful! Plus, being right in the hotel was super convenient for ourselves and our guests, most of whom came from out of town. 10/10 (edited to add a couple photos from guests)

We had our wedding reception up in the Aspen/Birch Ballrooms in November and we would highly recommend this venue for a wedding or other events! The space is large and accommodated our 150 person wedding very comfortably. The location was awesome given our ceremony was at the Galt Museum & Archives next door. Many of our guests from out of town needed a place to stay so being able to have a room at the same location was so convenient. Working with Lauren their event coordinator was truly a dream, she was quick to respond, answered all of our questions and found ways for all of our vision to come to life. If we felt stressed in the planning phase, a meeting with Lauren usually fixed it! We found we were surprised to learn all of the many things they provide and set up for you. We were able to drop most things off the night before so the day of could go smoothly! Prime Catering does the catering and WOW - the food was definitely something we have heard about from the guests, they loved it! Lauren and the Sandman Signature/Prime Catering team would be a great choice for your event!

Thank you to prime catering . Overall, experience was exceptional from communication with Lauren since April regarding planning meal to setting up Friday. The meal was beyond what I was hoping for. Beef Roasts were cooked to perfection and the rest of the meal was delicious. So many guests commented with positive reviews. Cleanup was fast and discreet. Highly recommend Prime Catering.

They have hosted our Trucking Company Christmas Parties for the past 10 years and I return to them every year!! I love they make my evening enjoyable by taking care of setup, food, award ceremony setup and take down. This way I can enjoy the evening with our staff & family. The food is fabulous and the service is impeccable. 🥰

We booked our wedding reception at the Essie’s Ballroom with Prime Catering.
Sage and her team truly went above and beyond. I was so apprehensive and nervous about all of the decisions I would have to make, and all of the things I would have to look out for. It turns out, I didn’t need to worry about anything!
The meal was amazing, and the Prime Catering team took care of absolutely everything that night. Our guests raved about how amazing everything was.
I highly recommend them to anyone! They will be the first ones I go to for any future events.
