What a great idea! a place just for motorcycles, had to check it out. It beat all my expectations. The hosts attended to all our needs, the facilities were great, way better tent than the one we carry. Each night we all sat around the campfire, even had a talented young guy play guitar. As each bike or group came in the hosts met them directed parking and the huge tents, all and all a fantastic and unique experience.

My first time there and probably not my last. Very pleasant, hostess and family.
When there was an accident on number one highway I was detained for approximately four hours and unable to complete the trip to riders retreat that evening. The hostess had followed up and checked on me to make sure that I was OK and followed up later in the evening, making sure that I had accommodations Where I had landed for the evening.

I've ridden by many times. Just because of where we live I never had a reason to stop in. But this weekend we were invited to a Bday party camping weekend. And I'll tell you what, absolutely recommend this campground!! VERY CLEAN, clean bedding, clean bathrooms, clean shower, great campfire atmosphere, and Rebecca the owner is the best people person ever. She goes above and beyond the call. Witnessed her assisting 3 drop in riders get squared away with tents. You don't need to bring any camping gear. I highly recommend Riders Retreat. We'll be back!!!

I love this place! We showed up when the weather was not co-operating and Rebecca offered to drive us into town to do a grocery shop. She was so kind and went out of her way to make us all comfortable. Brought us extension cords to charge our things in our tents, offered us something to drink as soon as we pulled in. SUPER CLEAN, and super comfy warm beds to sleep on. Tents had a cooler and chair, and there was still room to spare. I love everything about this place and will definitely be back. Stay here, you will not be disappointed. Rebecca you are great and so is your retreat!

When you put in the address for the GPS, be aware that the GPS may not exactly take you to the right spot. We had a lot of difficulty finding the place but when we did Rick made it all worthwhile. We enjoyed extremely comfortable accommodations. It was warm and comfortable, and we enjoyed a fire with others who were there and met wonderful people. The cook shack is stocked with stuff that people have left previously and coffee is on the house. There are utensils there for cooking pots, pans, forks, knives, can openers, toaster , kettle, etc. anybody up in this area? Whoever takes the route over to Kaslo should stop by Sandon B.C. I was very intrigued by the history here in this rural community that once had the top producing silver mine, and a large population. It has a hydro producing power plant that still produces power today. It is about 5 mi or 6 km off the main road and the back gravel road is fairly smooth with very few potholes and is well maintained. It is well worth it to come here and see history.
