We had a wonderful stay in the yurt this past weekend. Oliver and Sonia take really good care of the resort and are wonderful hosts. We had everything we needed in the yurt and the kids had a blast! Oliver even took the time to show my son his pigs and chickens which was definitely a highlight for him! We ran out of time to use the canoes, kayaks and paddle-boards available to use so we’ll have to come back!

Peace and quiet in a gorgeous setting is what awaits you at Rock Island Resort. We have been before, but under the care of the previous owners. Oliver and Sonia have taken a great place and made it spectacular. We stayed in the Yurt which was fully equipped with anything you could need. There are many amenities here and we wish we had more time to stay - will have to come back another time. Grab your morning coffee, wander down to the lawnchairs by the beach and regain your calm while gazing at the beautiful Arrow Lake and surrounding mountains.

It is one of the most beautiful resorts we have ever been to. Olivier and Sonia are wonderful hosts, and our yurt had everything we needed! Stay, enjoy, or explore the area. We enjoyed every minute!

We loved our stay at Rock Island Resort!! The cabin was very clean and cozy upon our arrival - we loved how the cabin was designed with updated finishes but still felt like a cottage get away. The property was absolutely beautiful and well maintained. We really enjoyed the zen feeling of the lovely spa area they have set up - the cold plunge with the hot tub was such a treat! Oli and Sonia were very gracious and friendly hosts. We brought our two dogs with us and they had the best time ever!

The resort is just outside of Nakusp and within reasonable driving distance to many activities that we enjoyed. We would highly recommend booking in for a stay at Rock Island Resort!

Bliss! We absolutely loved our stay in the yurt. You can tell the owners really put a ton of care and love into the property. It’s peaceful, the views are stunning and the landscaping is gorgeous.

For those that love cooking, the kitchen is stocked with dishes, silverware and cookware, a toaster and coffee machine, as well as salt and pepper.

Our group also rented out the cabins, which seemed to be recently updated and quite cute too.

Would definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful place! I stayed in a cabin, which was super cute and cozy, equipped with everything you need. Friends of ours stayed in the yurt, which was also so cute and so cozy feeling (also equipped with all you need). Beautiful view of the lake, and short little stroll down to the water, which is great for swimming. Loved that the place was dog friendly to. Will definitely come back!

Was here for the whole weekend, the owners and their dog are great! I had the most peaceful weekend. Love the morning walks by the private beach, sitting in the chairs, watching and listening to wild life. Our cabin is comfortable for 5 people, it’s clean and has everything you need for everyday. The flowers outside our cabin are stunning! I will definitely recommend this place and will come back.
