Really good and friendly service. Food was great! We shared the popcorn chicken special, and I tried the cheese pizza, which was tasty. The crust had a nice crisp to it. My partners enjoyed the chicken strips and fish and cheese. Definitely a nice spot to stop at while you’re in the area.

While on a bit of an explorative drive in the inter Provincial Park area, we chose to stop here as it looked interesting and had some menu variety. It’s a quaint kind of rustic atmosphere with old rock playing in the background. They feature daily specials as well as regular menu items. We chose a special - bratwurst and reg item - pad tai bowl. Both were pretty good as was the radler. Our server was very pleasant as well.

Fantastic pizza, crust is one of the best I’ve ever had. Chicken cordon bleu was very tasty too. Overall great small town restaurant with cool atmosphere.

Probably the best place to eat in Maple Creek. The meal was good except the fries, veggies and salad all seemed to be on the smaller scale especially if you have a large appetite. Unfortunately we found that our server forgot to mention the $8 appy specials (we found out earlier in the day from a recommendation) served on Friday nights as well as the evening specials that were posted on a sandwich board that we later noticed as we paid our bill. The service once we ordered was lacking from our original server and we had to ask for our bill from another person. Once finalized the bill seemed to be in order except $7.70 for a glass of Pilsner and $2.30 for a small side of gravy seemed a bit excessive.

We came to Cypress hills for the adventure and checked out the sites in Maple Creek and found The Rockin Horse. I had the fish and chips, big portion very filling, the bar tender was very atentative gave us time to check the menu take our drinks order and meals came fast and very tasty. Did not take a photo of the food as too busy eating it. Definatly our New Goto place when we come back to Maple Creek and will be recommending to friends and family. We visited on a Friday evening around 530pm not too busy but by 6pm the place was half full, background music was classic rock and at a decent level.

Horrible experience. Clearly, I could identify the lady working over the bar was a racist. I went to order food and she didn't even looked at me and didn't asked what I want. I said I am looking for vegetarian food. Instead of suggesting something, she just handed over the menu card. At last when she came up with my take out food package, she kept at the table and went without saying anything..
I liked the food though but for experiencing such horrible customer service, I won't recommend any non Canadian to go to this place and me no matter how good the food was but I will never ever visit that place where I felt disrespected.

Felt like family dining there, kids below 18 are allowed around the bar area (until 8pm i believe). Great food, great service, very quick and very comfortable.

Service was good, food was great and prices were reasonable. I did not give them 5 stars because when we got the bill there was a added DMF tax (Destination Marketing Fees). The server said there was no choice. I have lawyer friends and asked them. The place should have notified potential customers of its inclusion before ordering otherwise it is a voluntary fee. I never saw any posting it would be added nor did the server say anything until we asked about it. I attached a photo so you can see it wasn't much, but I feel it is the principle of the matter. Had I known what I know now because we were not notified I would of asked for it to be removed. Anyway assuming the funds actually go to Cypress Hills (FYI no way to prove this) then it is going to a good cause. Just be aware before going here.

As a restaurant I do recommend eating here.
