Rodina completed our new kitchen in October 2024 and we couldn’t be happier . From my first dealings with Henry, the designer to Dave the installer and Cody the organizer of the install ( sorry do not know your job title 😁) everyone was so processional. I had some ideas but Henry really helped me with the process because I quickly learned I knew nothing. The communication was excellent and they gave me install dates which were perfect. Henry’s advice was so helpful in us achieving our perfect kitchen. We were also coordinating with a flooring company and it was very easy to work with the timelines given.
I would highly recommend this small, but very efficient and affordable company for your kitchen. There are loads of companies out there but this one is spectacular from start to finish.

I was looking to undertake a kitchen renovation in the spring of this year and I met Laura St. Jean at the Fall Home and Garden Show last fall. I was very impressed with her knowledge and expertise. She spent a considerable amount of time talking with me about different materials (I probably talked with her for over an hour). I had so many questions and she patiently explained everything, sometimes more than once when I was confused. I left the show knowing that Rodina was the company I wanted to work with when I was ready to proceed. In January I came to see her at the office and again she spent a considerable amount of time with me. I told her that she would need to work with the current kitchen configuration, as I would not be changing the footprint nor moving any electrical or plumbing. I left the office that day with cabinets, stain, countertops and pulls picked out and finalized. From that moment on we were in constant communication with each other, and she was very prompt in sending me a quote. While working on the design Laura made suggestions and was very receptive to any feedback I had. When Laura came to my house to show me the plan designs, I was very impressed with her vision and design. She has a keen eye for all the small details, like making sure the edge of the upper cabinets lined up with the edge of the countertop, and came up with a design along the range/fridge wall that differed from what was already in place which I loved. She would show me the different design options and always asked for my feedback. Laura never became frustrated with me whenever things had to be modified or measurements adjusted due to not moving plumbing or electrical. The installer (Dave) was excellent. He was very professional and meticulous in the installation. Incomplete assembly of my two pull out drawers were noted by him and he quickly made arrangements for someone to come out to put the missing wood pieces on the pull outs. He welcomed and did not hesitate to answer any questions I had during the two day install. For all of this I highly recommend Laura and Dave! 5/5 star rating!!

The issues I had involved lack of communication once Rodina received their final payment, for which unfortunately I give a 2/5 star rating.

1. Nick told me that once my flooring was complete to let him know, and I would be scheduled shortly to get my toe kicks installed and stain touch ups done. On July 12th I notified Nick and he told me that he may not be able to squeeze me in the following week (which I completely understand). A month goes by and on Aug 12th I phoned the office to see when I could expect someone to come out. I was told that "I was on the list of people to call" (but I honestly think I was forgotten). Nick wanted to come out Aug 14th in the morning, but I informed him that I had appointments all morning and would be available later in the day, or on Tuesday the 13th/Thursday the 15th after 3pm. He told me that possibly Tuesday and he would get back to me by the end of the day. I didn't hear anything back, so I was unsure whether he was actually coming, so I had to rush home from out of town on Tuesday in case he showed up. At 2:55 on Tuesday he called to see if I was home as he was here in town and wanted to come over.
2. I asked during my phone call on Aug 12th if I could get a can of stain for future touch ups and Nick told me he would bring it. When Nick and Cody came on the 13th Nick told me he forgot the stain, but said Cody would drop it off the next day. As well, he told me Allison will contact me to arrange to get the stain touch ups done. When I messaged Nick the next day just to confirm that Cody would be dropping off my stain I was told "When he is in Sherwood Park next. Thanks." After waiting 2 weeks I finally drove to the office on Aug 28th to pick up the stain myself (which they couldn't find at first and said they didn't have any in the shop).
3. I still hadn't heard from Allison regarding my stain touch ups, so I had to go ahead and do it myself on Sept 11th.

Rodina Cabinets focused on quality from the planning and design of our kitchen through to the installation of the cabinets. The process was painless and our designer, Laura, took the time to shop for countertops with us, giving her opinion but letting the decision be ours. She worked hard to ensure we had the kitchen we had dreamed of!

The installation was smooth and the staff knew what they were doing. They took the time to answer questions and were professional.
