One of the few places in Salmo to eat dinner. It can sometimes take a while for food to come, but when it does it’s quite good. Casual atmosphere, but run down.
Husband had a burger and said it was one of the best he’s had in a long time. I had basic chicken fingers but they were good

Lovely heritage style building. Nicely renovated rooms. Pub has great food and a cedar wrap around bench on covered patio. Burgers are excellent and staff friendly. Central located. Will stay here again

I rented a Airbnb close to this place. I was told the food was so good here so I decided to have a drink and burger. I can not tell you how GOOD my burger was. I ordered the mushrooms swiss and if I lived there it would be my go to. Im from the states so this was a great. Even the onion rings are the best. I had 2 margaritas.

Is awesome food with great friendly service and affordable menu. Thursday night's 9-11:30pm there is always karaoke happening...come on in and have an entertaining evening...some talents voices to be heard and new voices a huge plus. Hope to hear some of you at the next karaoke Thursday night at 9pm...let's have fun and raise the roof singing to our hearts content.

aside from gorgeous building, this place was incredibly awful. waited about 15/20mins for service only to have to walk up to counter to order drinks. then my chicken burger was absolutely RAW....like still pink raw, I've had salmonella before.....its dangerous and this was no joke. then the waitress tried to still charge for the drinks, after waiting for those before my raw food arrived. Really disappointing and scary that I could have gotten salmonella again.

Second night in Canada. I strolled in on a Thursday night, which turns out is karaoke night. In town because there is a city campground. Bartender and locals are friendly, enjoying the small town atmosphere and country tunes, reminds me of home back in Missouri. And now they are playing punk rock, yeah I like that too.

I had a horrible experience here with my friends after shambala. The servers continuously ignored us and didn’t check on our food after we asked and insisted that they were overwhelmed with orders even though the restaurant was half full. It also took an hour and half and we were missing many items that we asked for. I wish Salmo bar would take more responsibility for this poor experience rather than blaming my party and insisting that they were using abusive language while I can verify that no one in my party was. Absolutely disappointing.

Before I found this place it felt as if the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. This place is a beacon of light and it's the greatest pub in Canada. Coldest beers in the Kootneys, served by the greatest people. You won't find a better pint anywhere else.
