I knew from the second I got engaged I wanted letterpress invitations. Silverplate Press was listed on blogTO as the "city's most budget-friendly option" for letterpress. Music to my ears - dream invitations on a budget!

When I checked out their website I was sadden to learn they had moved out of Toronto. I was super nervous about using an out of town company and not being able to talk face to face, and more importantly, see and touch some samples, as letterpress is really dependent on feeling the imprint on the paper. The owner, Amanda, invited us to have a face time call. She listened intently, walked us through the process, and had samples at our doorstep a few days later. The samples were plentiful enough that it was easy to make our selections over email, and after a few rounds of edits, we had a mock up of exactly what we wanted.

We received our invitations a couple of days ago (ahead of the requested date), and they are even more beautiful than the mock up. So beautiful that we decided to go with inner and outer envelopes (so as to not seal up the stunning envelope liners), which Amanda was kind enough to shop around and help us find the right size. I couldn't be more pleased, and am excited for our wedding guest to receive our invitations!
