I always choose this place for my blood work and for my husband, as he needs blood tests from his neurologist. We feel comfortable here, and there are no long wait times since we have an appointment for the same day. The staff is very sweet, friendly, and professional. I rarely need to ask questions because they are truly skilled at what they do.

Mid snow storm, Friday, we had to drive from another town as the ER didn't have a Dr on where we went originally on Friday night. When I called Sylvan Health Care, they were open, and the staff that I spoke with was very clear of the times and what they were and weren't able to do being as they are not regular ER. We made it just in time. They had me in and checked efficiently, and the Dr and full staff were very professional and kind. I was incredible pain so extremely grateful for their efficency and professionalism. Much appreciated staff!!! Thank you.

The receptionist was kind and assured me that it was always okay to come in and not to be nervous when I knew something was wrong…lol. Little did I know once I was in the room within five minutes, an elderly man—who some might refer to as a doctor (dr terrance donoghue burgess) —came in to ask what was wrong. I explained that I had been extremely sick, came in with a pain level of 8 in my throat, and had tested negative for strep. I felt like I couldn't breathe or talk, but he interrupted me with jokes and began laughing. Tears rolled down my uncomfortable face because, if he could hear me, I must have been fine and able to breathe.

As I struggled to explain further, he pushed the terms "pharyngitis" and "viral" on me, after a quick look in one ear and quickly down my throat where he seen nothing, which I understood, but at that point, I was also dealing with untreated asthma. I couldn't swallow or drink anything, and he dismissed me, saying I was fine and that rest would help. I have never felt more disgusted with a place that is supposed to help the community. Don't go here unless you need unnecessary stress, discomfort and to be sent them home to struggle.

After going to other emergency centres and waiting hours and hours for a doctor to come in and barely look at me for 2 seconds and send me home, I was still sick after more than 1 month and getting worse. Went here and in 3 hours I had an X-Ray done, Blood work, an IV for fluids and was given 2 prescriptions for antibiotics. Not to mention the staff were all incredibly nice and in good spirits despite being incredibly busy with only 5 staff being there and after close. 10/10 experience. Truly a great health centre!

My 3 year old shoved a bead up her nose at daycare that was stuck. The lovely nurses there performed trial and error with me to get it out. They were so good with the kiddo, and just all around great to deal with. Thank you so much for the help!

Everyone working in the lab is great. They are all friendly and very accommodating. I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes to have bloodwork and an ECG completed.

For the four times I have been here (two being work related incidents) they have not been good experiences. I had to wait over 3 hours after having a deep cut in my finger that wouldn’t stop bleeding within an hour of cutting myself. Requested stitches due to the nature of work knowing glue wouldn’t hold and the nurse said that had I been in earlier they could’ve done that but now they couldn’t (again had come in within an hour and had been sitting in the waiting room for three hours bleeding) and while I had been patiently bleeding in their waiting room mind you, it was empty. Not a single person in sight but ah yes a three hour wait. Oh and on top of that when I was finally being seen too; this lovely (cough, cough) nurse pulled the cloth off my finger and had ended up ripping more of my skin from the wound thus causing more trauma to my finger. Didn’t apologize or anything. Glue came apart as predicted within a hour because I was still bleeding. Ended up superglueing my finger the next day myself and immobilized it since the cut was located basically on the joint which worked out way better than that botched job I received by a so called “professional”. If I can be a better doctor than these so called “doctors” than you are better off not coming here. This place is unprofessional, poorly managed with doctors and nurses who truly do not care. Shame on everyone who works there and chooses actively not to do better.
