I went to Teacup in the initial phases of my tiny journey. I had looked at some second hand tiny homes on marketplace and choosing to go with Teacup Tiny Homes was an easy decision. I've followed them on Instagram for sometime and loved the design and products they were creating. I had looked at several of their build outs on Youtube which reassured me I was choosing the right builder, one that builds for Alberta weather, especially winter plus good design and quality work, a perfect trio!
The entire process has been amazing so far, a great team to work with, Shireen is friendly and personable with lots of communication. I always appreciate her seeing where I'm at in my own downsizing journey, what's going on in my life as I prepare for this move.

I'm a single mom living with my two young children in a small fishing/tourist community in rural Alaska. I spent years trying to attain permanent housing here, but our housing market went totally nuts well before it did anywhere else. I wound up snatching up a way overpriced piece of flat, cleared land and set about figuring out what to do with it.

I came across Teacup Tiny Homes when I found someone further north selling their Teacup. I had looked at other tiny home builders, but was skeptical of their designs' abilities to hold up in our crazy winters. Then I started looking closely at Teacup, and realized I'd found the solution to my housing problem.

Shireen was my first contact at Teacup, and she's fantastic to work with. Meeting Jen, and then the build team, was an absolute delight. I think the Teacup approach to home building is their strength, without a doubt. The whole team makes a point of getting to know the customer and why they're choosing to go tiny before you talk about building.

I was supposed to get my Teacup last fall. But our tiny journey was derailed by some family health crises that took me out of state suddenly and unexpectedly for most of six months. Shireen, Jen, and the team have been truly incredible to me throughout the winter. I lost my brother in the middle of having to move my elderly mother, with dementia, thousands of miles across the country. The Teacup team took all of that in stride, finished my build, continued sending me updates (there were so many days that those updates were the absolute highlight of my day!), and have stored my build for me until the snow up here melts and I can get my land prepped. But they also check on me--ME, not my build. I'll get a text or an email just asking how I am and if there's anything the Teacup team can do for me. I feel like I've been adopted by Teacup, and I don't think I'd have gotten that sort of feeling from anyone else.

Something magical is happening in Alberta. And I'm so grateful that my kids and I get to be part of it. Thank you, Shireen, Jen, and the crew, for doing what you do and being who you are.

I apologize I didn’t add any commentary!

So I began my journey thinking I could live in a van, people say nope. Then easily a trailer will work, nope says the environment. Ok; how about a recreational vehicle that I can move easily where I need to be or want to be, good luck in anything below 2*C .

The choices were: a 90 000$ 15’ used Winnebago,, one TH builder in Ontario that couldn’t show me a design and Tea Cup Tiny Homes with a website that rivals most global companies.

It was an easy choice and the money spent was easy to see in the quality of the build updates through out. I even had after delivery warranty issues that were not even questioned.

Stop looking elsewhere and start designing here. I had them deliver from Alberta to Ontario, sight unseen, I never had a single concern.

I don't know any other builders who care as much about their product and their clients' experience as Jen and the Teacup Tiny Homes crew does. If style and quality are important to you - don't risk your tiny home dreams with an amateur. Teacup Tiny Homes is the only way to go.
