It's very pricey for what you get. 1 lobster that we didn't even get to "catch" we were told they were put in the trap before we got there (which yes of course if it's not the season, would have to happen but I think there should be a discount for off season then) you get your lobster, with no butter and a bit of potato salad and Coleslaw. Nothing special. The music was good, but I would have preferred to hear actual fiddle music, not new age stuff. The owners were nice, but for almost $1000 for 5 of us, I would not recommend it honestly. Sorry!

While the name sounds gimmicky, the experience is absolutely not. He’s a long time local lobster fisherman and a fantastic host and entertainer. I learned more about the local history and fishing industry in those few hours than anywhere else so far. He treated our kids great too - they even got to steer the boat, total highlight. Worth the cost for sure. And yes, the lobster was the best we’ve had!!

An amazing experience all around! The Lobster supper (with coleslaw, potato salad, fresh dinner rolls and dessert) was delicious as we gently rolled with the waves in the picturesque cove complete with fiddle music and great stories. JJ and his family were terrific hosts and shared their knowledge and experience about the area, lobster fishing, music and more. A must do when in Souris - highly recommend!

When I booked the lobster eating and fiddling excursion I thought it might be a bit hokey but I was pleasantly surprised! It was a completely enjoyable 3+ hours on the boat, listening to JJ Chaisson’s stories and fiddling. He is quite a character and his family helping on the boat were lovely. And of course the lobster dinner was fantastic. This is not to be missed - and also not to worry, even on a windy day the boat was docked in a sheltered area so not too rocky. 5 stars all the way!

We had an amazing time with the Fiddling Fisherman. JJ and his wife and son were great hosts on their boat. The lobster was hands down the best lobster I’ve ever had! The sides and dessert were delicious as well! Not to mention, the entertainment was fantastic and JJ shared some great facts about being a fisherman on the island. I would do join the Fiddling Fisherman for dinner again, hands down!

I went with a group of 20 of us for a corporate retreat and it was one of my favourite activities we did all week in PEI! JJ was incredibly charismatic and the music was amazing. 10/10 would recommend!
