I recently visited The Hideout and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfying. The food was underwhelming, with the calamari being particularly disappointing. It consisted of only five small pieces, served on a bed of fried peppers that added little to the dish. The potato skins were equally lackluster—bland & dry. Given the high prices, I expected much better quality and flavor.

The only redeeming factor of the meal was our server, who was attentive and friendly. They provided excellent service, which is why I’m giving this review two stars instead of one. However, the food did not justify the cost, and I don’t think I’ll be returning.

Great place for having great meal! I got such a delicious Jalapeño Cheesy soup, and what was my favorite? Waitress gave me sample, to make sure I’ll like it:) Great steak, delicious potato strips! Lots of TVs, high quality pub atmosphere. Tall chairs and wood tables, good vibes.
-1 star for waitress who took our glasses of water as soon as we paid the bill under the pretext that she needed to load the dishwasher. at 10 o'clock when they close at 11.
I would come back for this amazing soup:)

Just want to leave a huge shout out to Ashley at the Hideout! I’ve been going there for several years now and the food, service, atmosphere has always been first class all the way! I always give credit where it is due and I feel like you care about customers on an unprecedented level. Well done Ashley. Keep up the fantastic job!

We have been to "The Hideout" twice since we have moved back to town, and both times have been Excellent! The food is fantastic, great variety and portions. And our server Chantelle was Really Good. Awesome Happy Hour Specials, changing daily. Definitely our family's favorite spot in Red Deer.

We had the pleasure of being served by Catherine, and she truly made our dining experience exceptional! From the moment we were seated, she was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Catherine went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, recommending dishes we might like and checking in regularly without being intrusive. She anticipated our needs before we even asked and brought such a positive energy to our table.

The food was fantastic, and Catherine’s service elevated everything. She paid attention to every detail, making sure we were comfortable, happy, and had everything we needed throughout our meal. It's rare to find someone who genuinely loves what they do, and it showed in how Catherine took care of us. Thank you, Catherine, for an unforgettable dining experience. We stopped here yesterday on our way back home to Calgary and we had a great meal here. Everything that we ordered was really good, the atmosphere was nice & our waitress Lacie was new and was doing so great! She was super attentive and helpful.

I ordered a gluten free lasagna and the lasagna I received was not gluten free nor was the bread. I now have a 24 dollar lasagna that I can’t eat because the hideout can’t do anything about it because I ordered through Uber. Not only can they not fix it Uber only refunded me 4 dollars for the gluten free noodles and not the other 20 for the lasagna nor the delivery fee and now I’m out 30bucks for a meal that I can’t eat.

Delicious blue raspberry sour beer on tap. Had nachos and dry ribs, super delicious. The dill salmon was recommended by our waitress and did not disappoint.

Well done. Will be back for more.
