The Norland Historic Estate Wedding & Event Venue - Lethbridge, Alberta

Our daughter got married this past weekend at the Norland historic estate. The venue was absolutely stunning! They did not need much for decorations. They only had roses and candles as it was beautiful on its own. Inside and outside, it was gorgeous!! The staff, were all amazing to deal with! Noni was so helpful!! She even decorated the cake pop table for us into a beautiful heart shape with the cake pops! Really can’t say enough good things about how easy and sweet Noni and all of the staff were to deal with!
The supper was so delicious!! So many items, and everything was so tasty! Would absolutely recommend the Norland estate for any wedding!!

We recently had our wedding at the Norland and oh man- what a beautiful venue! We stayed for the entire weekend, and it was reasonably priced for 3 days- the rooms in the house are great and can fit up to 10 people (we had our son there with us so it was perfect)! The rooms were cleaned daily, and the staff were amazing. There is a hotel village 5 minutes from the Norland as well, so it was very accessible for our guests!

We had the wedding outside in the gazebo and it was a picture perfect day. We had the reception in the main ballroom (see pictures attached) and you really don't need to add a lot of decorations as the room itself is stunning.

A couple of things to note- LA chefs is the sole caterer so you must order food from them (this wasn't an issue as the food/service was great!) but consider that when looking into pricing for your wedding. Additionally LER is the exclusive decor company, which again isn't an issue as they were wonderful and had everything we wanted, but is a consideration when looking into pricing. Finally, there is an 18% service fee on everything, so when we got our initial BEO we were a little shocked, however the Norland team was wonderful in making changes so that we could cut down costs where we saw fit! I would have liked to have known about these 3 things beforehand, just for initial budgeting, but in the end it didn't change much for us and I would still 10/10 recommend this venue given how beautiful it is, how accessible it is, and how amazing/accommodating the staff are!

We got married here in October 2023 and it was one of the best decisions we made, wedding-wise. I found The Norland on Instagram months before we got engaged and was blown away with the beauty of it all! I couldn’t believe this venue existed in Alberta. I showed it to my now-husband when we first got engaged in June 2021 and we knew that we had to view it, and truthfully, it’s the only venue we looked at. We were immediately in-awe of the beauty of the huge trees lining the driveway to get to the mansion. There are 7 – acres of well-kept land, a huge 1910’s Southern-style mansion that you, your bridal party and family can use the day and night of, a huge ballroom that fits (I think) 300 guests, and a beautiful gazebo area where we opted to have our ceremony. Lots of couples either have their ceremonies there, or on another beautiful lawn, or in the drawing room (which is their back-up rain plan).

The staff are amazing to work with! We initially had our tour in August 2021, 2.5 years before our actual wedding date, with Alexandra. She is friendly, easy to approach, replies to emails in a timely manner and is a treasure trove of information when it comes to wedding planning in the area. My now-husband and I are from north of Edmonton, so planning a wedding 600 km away was a bit of a challenge. After our in-person tour, we immediately booked with them with a 50% deposit. They have an in-house caterer, LA CHEFS, that I’ll also have a separate review for, but basically their food and staff were amazing! Payments were very easy to do with the venue. We were in contact with Lanai for this and she was very accommodating. She handles the accounts for multiple venues and she always responds so quickly to emails. We had to break up our final payments in different methods over a few days and she was very accommodating with that. Also, once we booked with The Norland, we were handed over to Trisha for wedding, buffet and bar planning and to answer all our questions. Since my husband and I planned our whole wedding, we had many questions for her over the 2.5 years and she was so quick to reply to emails and was very clear with answers. I never once felt unsure about our wedding planning process thanks to her. We were provided with the Wednesday before our wedding to rehearse in the venue, but because we were all from out of town, we weren’t able to do that, but to have that as an option is wonderful! The Norland also had staff the day of to greet us and our guests as we had to check in to the venue. There are 5 bedrooms upstairs for us to use, one room being the bridal suite. Everyone found there rooms beautiful, tidy and clean. They have everything you’ll need. Nonie was the staff member working with us the day of the wedding, and Mercedes helped us the next day. Both of them were very pleasant and wonderful to work with! Nonie helped me and my girls get settled in the main floor as we had to start our hair and makeup at 8 am, while the couple that got married there the day before us were packing up, as check out time is 10 am. The next morning, Mercedes made sure we had all our things ready to go and helped load things in our vehicles.

I cannot recommend The Norland enough! It’s a beautiful venue with wonderful and helpful staff. Lots of people asked us why we were getting married in Lethbridge since it’s so far away from us and neither of us grew up there. I always said that it was because of the venue!

We had our wedding at the Norland estate this past weekend and had the most amazing experience! The whole weekend was perfect, from the beautiful home, amazing service, incredibly delicious food and the venue was gorgeous! There’s nothing I would have changed about our wedding or experience. Would definitely recommend having your wedding here for a stress free beautiful day!

We had a Halloween wedding this year at the Norlands and we are beyond thrilled with this venue!! From the first inquiry we had quick responses and they answered all our questions and were very friendly! Nonie and grace were phenomenal and went above and beyond! The food was great and they accommodated allergies and vegetarians well! The venue is gorgeous and well taken care of. They even plowed the snow around the gazebo for us so we could do an outdoor ceremony. Highly highly recommend booking them- it’s well worth it!!

The Norland was our absolute dream venue, it is so so beautiful, and the staff is the best. The coordinator was so helpful throughout the whole planning process, and the day of the wedding they were so increasingly. Our day went so perfectly and smoothly, and a huge part of that is due to the staff at the Norland.

This venue is absolutely breathtaking. If you get the opportunity to utilize the outdoors pace and gazebo in the summer time it is magical for an outdoor Ceremony.
The ballroom, with its wrap around windows overlooking the garden is stunning and needs no decor to dress it up anymore. The gold chairs, chandeliers, and lighting on the ceiling provided rich details.
The food was amazing. Trust me you want to go with the more pricey beef option as it is mouth watering. Be careful with their Horseradish as it is spicy but oh, so amazing...use it sparingly lol.
Service throughout the whole planning process was exceptional, and communication was prompt.
The house and rooms were beautiful. Beds were comfortable and we were surprised byhoq many bathrooms they had for our guests who spent the night.
Our wedding was an absolute dream and one we will talk about for years to come.

My husband and I got married at the Norland at the beginning of September and have nothing but amazing things to say about this venue. The service we received from start to finish was impeccable. Trisha was absolutely amazing to work with - she responded to emails very quickly, answered any and every question we had, and allowed us to come to site as many times as we needed.

The day off went very smoothly. Everyone was so attentive and it was our dream wedding! This place is a well oiled machine!! Would highly recommend to anyone.
