If you love authentic classics, old historical pieces, tons of rich informative guides, and anything odd and obscure you've never heard of, then I'm confident you'd love this place. I'll admit there's not a whole lot that was here for me, but that's a me problem. It's a super unique, charming used book store that's worth checking out.

Just when you think nothing will surprise you anymore, enter The Odd Book. So many amazing treasures, my eyes didn’t know where to look first. The best part was finding a book gifted to my mom upon her retirement in 1996. She passed 20 years ago, this May. The store owner refused payment and just handed it to me saying “That’s your book.” Thank you, sir! I can’t wait to see what I find on my next visit.

It's nearly impossible to walk out of here without a book. The owner is lovely, and the shop nicely portioned into sections, making your treasure hunt all the lovelier. I could spend all day in here perusing the old books.

The experience is like no other! Be aware that it's expensive, depending on the book, but you'll find things that just aren't available elsewhere!

We adored the place. The owner appears to be extremely knowledgeable and it's clear that he enjoys sharing his love of books with his customers. I ran across dozens of obscure titles I remember fondly from my childhood, when I read widely - children's classics from the 30s, mid-century British farce, beat poets, science fiction I didn't think anyone else knew about. The spiritual / religion section is extensive, as is the carefully curated literature section and the wide variety of local history / botany / bird books. The books are extremely well kept, from collectibles to hand-me-downs, and we're so glad we went in.
