My husband and I had a two night stay in cabin 36. Accommodations were wonderful and the staff was lovely.
Shout out to Olivia at the front desk.
The view from our back deck was amazing with wildlife entertaining us as we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere of this cabin setting.
We enjoyed a lovely meal at the resort restaurant. Again, the servers were friendly and efficient!
If I were to make one suggestion, it would be that a new mattress in the large bedroom of cabin 36 be replaced.
Thanks for everything and we will likely be back next year.

Went in the off-season, views were beautiful, deer all around the resort. Unfortunately, everything was closed for attractions. But it still made for a wonderful weekend of relaxation and walking around. The only thing missing is a hot tub and pool, or some sort of gym in the resort. That would have made it a five-star rating.

We stayed in one of the cabins for 3 nights in September, 2024. The accommodations were comfortable and featured all of the necessary amenities. The resort is quiet, features a myriad of trails, as well close access to the charming town of Maple Creek. It's pet-friendly, so our dog had a marvelous time playing with Benji, and sniffing everything (of course). Definitely check out Bald Butte and the Lookout for extraordinary views of the rolling prairies.

Really lovely spot! Very beautiful and feels like a resort. A couple of areas to have your own fire. The rooms are old but have a great feel. Only thing missing is a pool or hot tub.

Townhouses are needing a deep clean and updating.
Couches have been there for at least 15 years and are very very grubby. In-between bunk bed and wall was absolutely gross.
They are poorly stocked, so only plan on making very simple meals, or ensure you bring a decent frying pan, tongs, microwavable bowls.
Staff all friendly and helpful. Ivan's restaurant was delicious.
There was a convention or wedding go
ing on, all parking was taken. It would go a long way to have designated parking for townhouses or hotel guests.
We always enjoy our time in Cypress very much, just a deep clean and some more updates would go a long ways.

It’s in a nice area of the forest. However, a few concerns with this place.
- Showed up and our cabin smelled like cigarettes. We had to air it out, and it still smells musty.
- Your cabin is NOT serviced, and they expect you to do the dishes, with a somewhat hidden sign about a $50 charge if we don’t wash them ourselves.
- Pets aren’t allowed on the furniture, but the hotel is pet friendly. Honey, this furniture is nothing special. You’re telling me I have to tell my dog to stay on the filthy low pile carpet floor while we’re here? Whatever.
Overall would NOT recommend in the slightest. Not worth the drive or especially the cost.

Nice hotel. Good rooms. Reasonable price. Only drawback is that they don't serve breakfast and the restaurant doesn't open until 11am. Staff very friendly and helpful.

For a hotel located in a Dark Sky Preserve, they really should remove their spot lights outside.

Restaurant food was mediocre (Salmon, and Chicken Parmesan). They should consider adding a breakfast. The Lakeview Grill nearby was incredible (Mac n Cheese burger, cheese burger, fish n chips, fries were amazing).
