Nice evening, having suppr by the lake. We ate on the back porch and it was pretty nice. The food was great! I had fish tacos and sweet potato fries. Perfectly prepared! The fish was so tender and light and the batter was crisp and didn't overpower the fish at all. Delicious!

First time customer and not local to the area. I was greeted by a kind server who paid close attention to all her customers from start to finish. The local tap beers were cold and tasty. I asked for recommendations on food choice and was not disappointed in my fish tacos that my server encouraged me to try. The fries were satisfactory, although a homemade fry would have put my experience over the top. Food was served in a very timely manner and portion size did not disappoint. I would 100% recommend this small restaurant in a small community to anyone who passed through the area.

As the finale of our trip to the Maritimes, we visited Tuteleback in a small town (Fall River) near the airport.

Finished my search for the best chowder with seafood chowder and to whoever said pick only seafood when you are in the Maritimes: sometimes you may not want to do that when the strength of certain chef is not with the seafood.

We find that while the taste is good, the [ potatoes : ingredients ] ratio is off for our chowder. We concluded that the burgers we saw at the next table may be a better choice.

Nonetheless, we loved the quiet atmosphere and the cozy dining experience at Turtleback. Nice view and picnic table at the back for those who enjoy the outdoors.

Considering it's the only place near the airport open on Monday & Tuesday, they could be your only option...which is great! They don't open until 11:30, which is a bit late. We had to wait...by the lake! Again, pleasantly surprised. 🙂
The place filled fast for lunch, but the quality didn't waiver. We were worried about only having 1 server in the place, but she was a complete pro.
The service was great & the food was shockingly good. My husband's burger was perfectly cooked on a crispy toasted bun, toppings on the side. My steak was also perfectly cooked & the sweet potato fries were delicious & had a wonderful texture. Our food came right out, didn't sit for more than a second. Looking around at all the full seats, everyone had smiling faces & full drinks. Super service!
What a fantastic spot to have our last meal in Nova Scotia. Thanks so much.

It is a great place in Fall River to go for some food and drinks with lots of parking. The club house is very unique and well worth a try. There's a nice big back room with a view of the lake that a large group can use, or maybe you just want a nice cozy table just for two. Both are doable.

Went there for dinner and had the chowder and fish and chips. The chowder was frikin’ awesome and the fish and chips was nice and crispy. Both came out piping hot.
Finished with an in-house made caramel cheesecake.
The service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Will have to come back for the ice cream that they serve from the shack in the back which also looked good.
