Yaay! Very happy with his work and service! I came in to fix an issue with the flash on my camera and not even 2 minutes after I walked in it was fixed! So to make it worth his while, there was another small fix that I needed that I hadn’t originally come in for, which was that there was always a small hair or scratch on my pictures that i couldn’t figure out where it was. I left it for an hour and now it’s perfectly clean! He even cleaned the outside and added a cover for the cable section that had broken a while back, it looks brand new! Thank you so much! Very much recommend ❤️

I just had my camera lens fixed by David and it was a great experience from start to finish. Communication was smooth and easy, and he quickly figured out why my lens was having connectivity issues. He even took the time to show me how to determine what part was having the issue.

What a fantastic experience! Great communication and very upfront about expectations. I had a new Sigma teleconverter that was stuck on a Sigma 60-600 lens. Normally this is a death sentence for one or both pieces of equipment, but the owner was able to get them apart with only a few new scratches from the vice he had to use. He went further and explained to me the steps I needed to do to avoid the problem repeating.

It should be noted that this isn't a store front, it's a working shop. As such, you're not paying for fancy signage or a comfortable waiting area with "free" coffee. The price was well below what I expected to pay. I will be bringing all of my electronics in need of repair to him in the future.

Our Denon receiver/amplifier was repaired faster than the quoted time and is performing great. Cheerful service. The repair was reasonably priced for tech time and parts, and worked out to a small fraction of the replacement cost.

My Sony A-5000 digital camera got dropped, I think, and stopped working. I was most disappointed as I love this camera. On a whim I looked on-line for a camera repair shop in Courtenay,B.C. and to my surprise I found David Hall,s shop- Viper Camera Repair. I went there and David gave me an estimate for the repair and told me it would be ready in a week. In less than a week he phoned me and told me my camera was fixed and would cost less than his estimate. So happy- thanks a lot David !!!

Don't waste your time with this guy.

Very unprofessional, ignores calls, delays repair and is incredibly rude. He had my camera for a month and when I asked when it would be ready for pick up he "un-did" the repair he had already done and returned it to me in the same condition as when I brought it in.

Terrible customer service, wouldn't provide timelines or updates on when the repair would be done and was uncontactable for most of the month he had my camera (didn't reply to emails or texts and hung up on me on calls). When I came to collect the camera he even shut the door in my face

For someone who has reviewed himself as "Pure Genius" on Google (David Hall is the owner of the company and reviewed himself 5 stars), he showed no ability whatsoever to make a camera repair.

The only reason he gets one star is because there is no zero star option.
