Andrew doesn’t know what he’s talking about! This place is wonderfully amazing and has completely taken away our anxiety of leaving our child with people she’s unfamiliar with. Our child is special needs and right away they helped us set up our physiotherapist so that she can visit and get her therapy at the daycare. The caretakers at Walden daycare have learned our daughters routine and are constantly helping her in her exercise routines to get stronger and more confident. They have gone out of their way to get the equipment that she needs. Every time I’ve come to pick her up somebody is working with her and giving her the attention that she needs. My mother-in-law has had experience taking her to and from daycare and when your mother-in-law gushes about how well the caretakers handle and take care of our child you know she’s in good hands.

The vague and unhelpful 1 star review posted by Andrew hopefully won't steer anybody away from this place. As with so many other parents, my wife and I were anxious about finding the right daycare so we put a lot of work into touring facilities and networking for word-of-mouth sort of reviews. Our prior daycare, in Sudbury, was good. They met the need and we knew our kid would be safe/secure and taken care of. These folks at Walden EXCEEDED our expectations. I remember leaving a lengthy tour of Walden and my wife looked at each other with the same "I think they can do a better job than we can" look. Haha, really though, these folks are patient with the kids and model a really cool way of teaching that is very hands on and encourages independence and growth. But, both of our kids are pretty shy/anxious (independent isn't really their thing). The staff have consistently been warm and patient, offering cuddles and hugs for as long as needed. Whenever we'd pick up our kids we'd find them happy and having fun. Dirty (with dirt) sometimes, haha, but that's just part of the fun as they are always playing outdoors in the sand etc. Now our kids are 4.5 and 2.5 and our oldest still talks about some of his old "teachers" with great affection. Our youngest was having so much fun yesterday that he protested being picked up. So yeah, I'd recommend this place. Healthy food (homemade ketchup!?) and drinks (warm herbal tea!?), just the right amount of structure, great staff, cool stuff (like the farmers market), straightforward/common sense billing/prices (super flexible, pay for what you use and nothing more)... Really, I've no doubt my kids are in excellent hands here. If you're in the area and anxiously seeking childcare... you need to check them out.

Walden Daycare is an amazing daycare center! The staff is kind, compassionate and very accommodating. I am very happy with the care my child receives.
